So, it's OK to not win your division title, your conference title AND lose head-to-head with a team that did both and still be considered better? What the fuck?

Seriously? You can't believe it's that simple.

Try to remember how the playoff committe works. When they're trying to compare a 1-loss team vs a 2-loss team, they look at the wins and how they won, AND they look at the losses and how they lost.

Ohio State beat Michigan.

Michigan beat Penn State (actually, Michigan BEAT THE SHIT out of Penn State)

And, did you watch the game, Penn State vs Ohio State? Penn State's offense looked fucking horrible! They won because their defense and special teams played like monsters. They playoff committee is certainly going to consider that. What is that offense gonna look like against a far-better defense like Alabama's?

Yeah even though I can see Connor's point - and even though I think Ohio State is intrinsically a better team - I do feel kinda badly for Penn State. To win the division, the conference and heads up and still not go? That's a rough deal.

Anyway, UW is in and figures to get clobbered by 'Bama (same as Penn State would have).
Hard for me to predict who'll win the other game. Both teams are capable of very high highs and very head scratching lows.

The Big Dogs are going to eat with this system in place. Everyone should have thought about that before they were crying for a Playoff, well guess what they found a way to make it more corrupt.

The "cupcake" games as you call them will never go away. Some of those small schools depend on taking an acassional ass-whooping because of the money. The have meager budgets and $500,000 or more can fund most if not an entire season. Think about it this way, if someone offered you a million dollars to box the heavyweight champion, are you gonna say no?

It should not be expected that FBS teams support smaller schools, especially at the FCS level. These games are mostly horrible and boring.

Good question. This thread barely got any activity this season, so I'm thinking a bowl contest might suffer the same fate :dunno: Of the 5 who played last year I haven't seen two in ages, but Jagger has a tendency to show up at the last moment, and I seem to recall feller469 saying he'd be interested in playing this year. Recent posters MILF man and Maildude have joined in in the past. Wolverine fan RJS13 seems like he might get into it.

I'd be in (even though when I looked over the matchups I was mostly feeling clueless).

What say gents? Bowl challenge? Or led Rodger lord his crown over us eternally?

I wasn't there I have zero idea of the circumstances but a fact of life is sometimes people need a shot to the face regardless of who they may be and sometimes people are just ignorant violent animals.

After watching the video, I'm somewhat conflicted.

She obviously started it by shoving him and slapping him. And, even though she is a woman, Mixon had every right to defend himself, but defending yourself and punching her so hard that you break four bones in her face is worlds apart.

You did see her shoving him, and then slapping him, and then gearing up to slap him again...

He did have the right to defend himself, but he certainly did not have the right to try and knock her head clean off.

The only thing wrong with zeeblofowl's comment is he can't spell assault.

Idaho goes out a big upset winner as it leaves the FBS.

BYU damn near gave away the Poinsettia Bowl. Poor judgment by Wyoming's QB probably saved them. Very good year for Wyoming though, after being about a joke of a program forever.

And, "defending her friend" is your answer? By your logic, if she was justified in resorting to violence, then he was justified in responding with violence. Someone said he should have just walked away, but that argument works both ways. She could have walked away, but, she chose not to. She chose the path of violence. Did she really believe that he would just stand there and allow her to shove him and slap him without doing anything? Truthfully, both share in the blame.
