Now Malisse def. Tsonga, whats going on
Instead of Baghdatis/Tsonga in the R16 its now Devvarman/Malisse.
Nadal whooped De Voest 6-0 6-2 just over an hour. Fellow South African Robbie Koenig left the commentating booth halfway through the match :anonymous

Devvarman def. Baghdatis! second set bagel, ouch.
Karlovic def. Ferrer! No one is safe against Dr. Ivo on his day.
Young def. Murray! Another post-AO slump.
(...)
Now Malisse def. Tsonga, whats going on

crazy results on that quarter indeed.

but watch out with Almagro and Simon... no jokes there, specially the french if he can stay focus and healthy.

Delpo takes out defending champ Ljubicic in 3.

YES! :nanner:

Delpo looked very, very good. Again.

I hope he can beat Dolgo. The match of this 22-year-old youngsters looks pretty promising.

Raonic beats Fish again

Was 2/2 on BP on Fish's serve while saving 8/8 BP's on his own serve.

He does look a bit injured though.
Hope he beats Harrison for a RaoFed matchup :hammer:

he's now 16-3 in 2011.

BUT, watch out: "was attended to on court by a trainer during the first set for an apparent back problem that may have also affected his abdomen"

good news for Delpo/Dolgo (hopefuly Juan Martín :p), who avoid the big gun in their part of the draw.

Gulbis gets destroyed 6-0 6-1 by Djokovic. 1 winner, 28 UE's.
At least he didn't get double bageled.

Raonic’s rally falls short against Harrison

http://sports.nationalpost.com/2011/03/15/raonics-rally-falls-short-against-harrison/

so much for a showdown against Roger...

i didn't see the match... he was injured or something? or just play bad? :dunno:

anyway, no worries for the Canadian. He will have his revenge next week in Miami.

and for Roger...

Federer crushes Chela to enter Indian Wells fourth round

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...an-Wells-fourth-round/articleshow/7715262.cms

6-0, 6-2

ouch.

But still, i didn't see Roger playing THAT good. If Milos would have been in 4th round, he would be a very very very dangerous threath, i must say.

but Roger got lucky and will beat Harrison, for sure.

I'm not sure if he was injured(serve speed seemed lower) but he played pretty well. Harrison just played better, he was pumped up, the home crowd would have helped him.
They both hit more winners than UE's and it was close the whole time.
Milos messed up in the first game of the third set and got broken so he was down early and made it too hard to come back from. Got broken again later too.
Harrison almost choked it away - he went from serving for the match up a double break at 5-2 to facing a BP that would have made it 5-5, but managed to keep it together.
It was probably his best match besides beating Ljubicic at the US Open.

Fed should straight set him although Harrison should put in a good effort.

Even though the Indians and Bryans were gone the Scots and Serbs still lost today.

Dolgo/Malisse advance

Djokovic still unbeatable, Robredo continues comeback, Gasquet beat Roddick - interesting.

:

Wow, that's pretty bad. I have to say he used to be one of my favorite players to watch but he is just throwing away a ton of tallent. What I wouldn't give to be as gifted as him.

I just have seen him play and he has great serve, good forehand, and backhand. I'ev seen him play to his highest ability and he was explosive. :2 cents:

Talent. Such a subjective word. Lets see:

1. A marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment.
2. a. Natural endowment or ability of a superior quality.

the key words here are: innate and natural. That is: a player that can do "superior quality" things looking like he needed no training.

well, from that definition, Roger is the most talented player of the world. His game is so smooth, so effort-less, he seems to float sometimes.

after him, it would be maybe Berdych, Verdasco, Monfils, Tsonga... :2 cents:

and for explosive, i think that's clear: Raonic! :)

Robredo withdrew, aw.

Gublis doesn't make use of his talent, he has no heart. For example, getting bageled by Gilles Simon in 16 minutes after losing a second set tiebreak.
Other names that pop up are Nalbandian and Safin.
