Not how I envisioned a possible playoff system, but if it takes a lawsuit to scare the NCAA into doing the right thing, I'm all for it.
Or poison the trees.
An act of hatred by an Alabama against Auburn brought out the best in a lot of the Alabama fan base and an act of nature of destructing in Tuscaloosa brought out a lot of acts of kindness from the Auburn University fan base and community.
Once again that just really shows the strength of sports.Look what college football does for the South, hell the whole country. In other news
It's just too bad it has rampant corruption to go along with all the good things creates.
As the resident Trojan -- the OSU ~scandal~ represents more proof that Big Boy college football is filled with sleeze, and it's basically impossible for coaches to monitor everything. My gut seems to say that Tressel found out what was going on, tried to shield his players but ended up looking like a schemer in the end.
I think he will most certainly pop up at another school. Tressel might end up at TCU if Gary Patterson leaves for Ohio State (he'd be a cheapy hire for them and seems to run the same kind of offense/defense).
Urban Meyer makes total sense though and he'd grab it I bet.
But, what will the sanctions against OSU be? If we use SC as a litmus test -- look at bowl bannings and scholie reductions.

why wouldn't OSU be facing the death penalty in light of what all has been revealed by the FBI and NCAA?
... And Auburn should be right behind them. Won't happen, though.
You're another one of those who want to convict without proof. The NCAA actually has proof against OS and I don't believe it was serious enough to deserve a death penalty. Even if it was, you better believe they wouldn't roll over and take it like SMU. OS would fight it all the way to the Supreme Court and force the NCAA to spend millions in legal fees.
