My top 5 Heisman favorites:

1. Robert Griffin III
2. Case Keenum
3. Tyrann Mathieu
4. Montee Ball
5. Andrew Luck

Suh is still 10x the player Ingram is, even if he's a dirty cunt. Ingram wasn't even the best RB in 2009.

Anyway...

Don't tell me you think a guy playing PAC 10 defenses week in and week out was better than Ingram, who put up over 1600 yards in the SEC on a championship team? That's just crazy talk! lol

As much as I like Trent Richardson and his punishing on field play when toting tha rock, I gotta go with the Honey Badger in casting my support for the Heisman. He is an enormous difference maker. Also, defensive players usually get the short end of the stick compared to offensive ones. Surely Charles Woodson isn't the only defensive player worthy of this honor.

KBME radio in Houston is reporting that Kevin Sumlin has been hired as the new head coach at Texas A & M. Unofficial but some solid sources are backing it up evidently.

Historically the winner of the Walter Camp award wins the hiesman, but this year hasnt been a usual year in the hiesman and awards talk. I cant see Andrew Luck winning the Hiesman. RG3 and Trent Richardson each won the award for their position, Tyrann Matthieu won the most prostigeous for defensive players, i expect one of those 3 will win it.

Nice hire. I just hope they don't fire him after a string of 7 win seasons, which is about the best they should expect.

I wonder who UH will get to replace Sumlin. What's the word, Jagger? Maybe Major Applewhite? Or will Major go to Florida to be OC?

The Heisman race has fallen away from being given to the best player and is usually given to a great player whose team has had a great season. One upon a time, there were Heisman winners whose team may have had a losing season, but you'll never see that happen again. Nowadays, some voters do tend to look at what a player has done in their overall career. They shouldn't but they do:

Based on the career criteria, Andrew Luck could win it. His region could be strong enough to get him there.

A few voters will consider Case Keenum based on his career, but I don't see him finishing any higher than third.

I don't see Tyrann Matthieu winning. There was buzz about him during most of the year, but nothing serious until after the Arkansas game. If he returns next year, I see him as the preseason favorite.

It seems like RG3 & Trent are the two favorites. I'm thinking RG3 will win.

RG III. Surprised a few. Of course, this most assuredly dooms his NFL career...

Congrats to RG3. Sad thing is most of us never saw him during the regular season.

lol we seen him the very first game..or i did..if not you missed your chanch..i got a feelin he will be one of them that folds up like a cheap pocket knife when he starts playing with the big boys. i think i only seen him one time..that speaks for itself really...i bet he would look differnt with a sec defense chasing him

Latest word is that Cougar asst. coach Tony Levine is the frontrunner. I also heard that Sonny Dykes (Head coach at La Tech), Todd Monken (Oklahoma State OC) or Willie Fritz (Sam Houston State HC) are up for consideration. I'd like to see Levine get it myself. It would encourage continuity if he did. They'll make a decision quickly I am sure. Stay tuned.

Funny how Trent Richardson was DENIED after he said he wouldn't be denied the Heisman in an interview with Chris Fowler.
