Yeah, and we barely held on to win 21-14.
Purdue had great success in the first half with the vertical passing game. So naturally, we had to go away from that in the second half in order to allow Illinois to close the deficit. The Boilers never had anything going on offense in the second half. Luckily the defense kept them in the game. Oh well, a win is a win. I might actually have to use my tickets next game rather than watch it at home.

Just saw that Bucky has a pick, safety, blocked FG, and blocked punt in their last four possessions. Yikes... hard to win football games when you play like that.
Go MSU! I'd love to see Sparty pull the upset.

Not a single penalty the whole game? riiiiiight.
And they didn't call one that was brutally obvious. The play before the safety in the second quarter MSU's DT shoved the runner hard in the end zone after the whistle.

And... Oklahoma goes down in flames! It looks like Stanford may sneak in if they can avoid a letdown.
A few thoughts about this week from me.
Oklahoma, how did you lose to Texas Tech....:wtf: I think Ok. State will win the Big 12 in the end.
Wisconsin skeptics have been justified in not believing in that team over the schedule
Whoever wins the Big East title this year is going to get anniahlated in the Orange Bowl
Clemson is a contender and could wait in the shadows if one of two: Ok. State or LSU/Bama stumble at the end

I think Clemson has a stronger case than Stanford does because of Stanfords schedule. Clemson tho in the weaker conference has 2 SEC teams on it which is automatic respect from the voters, where Stanford played nobody non conference who has a winning record at this point of the season.
On an earlier post i seem to not be able to quote...Michigan State won fairly. Even if the refs ruled that the ball is at the 1, they still stop the clock and kick the game winner at the end, and Wisconsin has no one to blame but themselves at the end.
My alma mater is really bad. Love the Buffs, but really? Thanks Dan Hawkins...
When you look ahead, that's when you get bit in the ass. That's what happened to Okie, and it would've happened to Bama tonight if they had been playing most anyone other than lowly Tennessee.
I'm sure the Okie loss will force the Sooners to refocus and Okie State will suffer the Sooner wrath.
Barring any more upsets (or BCS bullshit), I would say the Bama/LSU winner plays Stanford for the NC. I posted earlier that Okie would definitely lose to either Bama or LSU and the only teams that could dethrone the SEC was either Wisconsin or Stanford, so this is shaping up to be thrilling finish.
As for Clemson, they could very well end up undefeated, but I don't see any plausible scenario where they play for the NC. Next year, maybe. They did have an outstanding recruiting drive this year and next year, those recruits will have matured and they could start the 2013 season as a legitimate threat to go the distance.
When that play started, there was only 4 seconds left, so if the ball had ended up at the 1, there would have been no time left to kick a FG.
What a game between Wisconsin and Michigan State. I really thought Wisconsin was gonna go to East Lansing and pound the Spartans. Hats off to MSU, their defense is for real. And Jerel Worthy is an NFL Pro Bowler within 4 years.
OU's loss looks shocking at first glance, but when you consider the facts, it isn't such a shock. Texas Tech has played well all season. Both their losses were against top teams, Kansas State and Texas A&M, and were both close. OU had those "big" wins against Florida State and Missouri, but both of those teams have proven to be big disappointments, and it's not like the Sooners won those easily. I think A&M is the best team in the Big XII, but because of one bad half of football, they are on the outside looking in, as Okie State would have to drop two games.

:hatsoff: for maildude good win this is what i learned saturday...okl was what i thought they werent....2 the first team clemson plays with a defense they get 3 shades of hell beat out of them 3 lsu is doing something illegal (im on that!) 4 bama had every reason to sleep against tenn...they gotta play the yellow (illegal bunch) in 2 weeks..smart not to show all your cards 5 no matter how sleepy your team gets..the other team cant win if they cant score 6 if TR dont get hurt he brings the second HT to alabama (maybe not this year).....7 nahh no 7 i already knew les miles was a idiot 8 if auburn beats bama this year..im starting a ping pong thread next year :wave:
