Anyone want to give a guess as to what is going to happen with the University of Missouri? The chancellor has been given the authority to look elsewhere by the governing board. They did not say they are leaving but it sounds like they are still not happy with the way things are in the Big 12.

Big Ten. In the end, I think 14 is the magic number for most of these conferences. I think West Virginia will end up being the 14th in the SEC. UConn or Louisville will be the 14th in the Big Ten, the Pac-10 will try to lure Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, and the Big XII will be Texas and a bunch of tools/puppets.

The best scenario for Mizzou would be to remain in the Big 12 but the new revenue sharing plan does not serve in the best interests of a school like Missouri (they would actually get less money than they would under the present plan). I hope they stay but, if they leave, geographically and academically, the Big 10 is a much better fit for them than the SEC. This is like a fucking soap opera.

New reports are that not enough SEC schools welcome missouri and TCU has a Big 12 invite to entertain. How the wheels are turning ever so quickly

The SEC would have been nice but Mizzou wouldn't be able to really compete in that conference imho They really would have gotten their asses whipped annually in the SEC and their best interest is to just stay home. I figured they wouldn't get accepted, other than the television market here in KC there was really nothing else to offer.

I disagree. Missouri is 15-8-3 all time against SEC teams. Their football program has been terrific ever since Gary Pinkel became head coach. They would certainly be immediately on a higher level than Mississippi, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State and would arguably be every bit as competitive as Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee and perhaps even South Carolina. That said, my preference would be for Mizzou to stay right where they are. That's where their roots are and that's where they really belong.

My picks this week. Call your bookie....

Iowa St. at Baylor (RG3 is gonna be PISSED this week!)
Texas A&M at Texas Tech (Tech a 7 pt. dog at home....A&M has a terrible record in Lubbock. Red Raiders make it 3 in a row for Aggies)
Florida St. at Wake Forest (FSU. 'nuff said)
Arizona St. at Utah (Utes a 3 pt home dog. ASU is schizo. Utah wins)
Miami (FL) at Virginia Tech (I'd love to pick the U but Hokies are just too good. Hope I'm wrong)
Missouri at Kansas St. (Collin Klein. Remember that name. Wildcats take out my beloved Tigers in Manhattan)
Illinois at Indiana (Illini remain undefeated against a pathetic Hoosier team)
Kentucky at South Carolina ('Cocks rebound against 'Cats in spite of Stephen Garcia)
Florida at LSU (Gators lose 2 in a row for the first time since I don't know when. Bayou Bengals win in Baton Rouge)
Connecticut at West Virginia (Mountaineers win in Morgantown)
Auburn at Arkansas (Hogs a 10 pt. favorite at home. Chizik's luck runs out this week in Fayetteville. Should be a helluva game)
Ohio St. at Nebraska (Huskers are pissed, playing in Lincoln and the Bucks have no offense. Huskers win big)
Maryland at Georgia Tech (Jackets are the real deal in ACC this year)
Michigan at Northwestern (My upset of the week. 'Cats are really tough against the run and they'll be keying on Robinson all day)
Oklahoma vs. Texas (at Dallas, TX) (I just hope the 'Horns can keep it close. Not this year, Mack. Sooners are just too good....hope I'm wrong)
California at Oregon (Ducks win big)
Boston College at Clemson (Tigers just keep rolling along)
Colorado at Stanford (Stanford's schedule has been ridiculously easy so far!)
Kansas at Oklahoma St. (OSU is really good. REALLY good)
Boise St. at Fresno St. (Yawn! BSU wins again)
Vanderbilt at Alabama (Ugh!)

Yeah. But the Huskers are weak at secondary. But that's O.K. 'cause the 'Bucks have no pass attack. All Pelini has to do is poison Stoneburner's water bottle.

Michigan at Northwestern (My upset of the week. 'Cats are really tough against the run and they'll be keying on Robinson all day

Watch out. Persa ain't working on all cylinders yet.

Florida at LSU (Gators lose 2 in a row for the first time since I don't know when.

.....Since last October actually lol. Last season the Gators had a 3 game losing streak against Alabama, LSU, and Mississippi State. For some reason, we have much more trouble against the West. And don't give me "Well the West is stronger excuse," because even back when the East was clearly the dominant division (with UF, UT, and UGa), we would get upset against the the west teams all the time.

I'll be really surprised if Florida beats LSU.

on no bodie..i didnt mean it like that..That would surprise me as well..but..i wouldnt take them lite..but if i said what i really think about this year..they would call me names lol...tuff break for LJ..cant believe they still had him on the field ??? he should have been on the bench drinking a protein shake

The NCAA or BCS have shown a huge bias tword SEC football for years now.

They like to say the run of titles proves it??? At least two of these were won against Ohio State teams that wouldn't have been in the top twenty had they played a halfway tough schedule.

Go Pac 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

South Carolina looks to be this week frontrunner for Merciless Beatdown of the Week. Thought they'd get out done by OK St., but the Pokes let of the gas. In other news, my Eagles beat Navy 63-35. Both teams rolled up over 500 yards of offense. Now we get a week off before having SMU come to The Rock.

I think Miles went easy on that freshman QB...

Anyone who questions Oklahoma as possibly being the best team in the nation should have watched today's ass-whipping they dished out to Texas. Neither Alabama nor LSU has a QB nearly as good as Landry Jones and no one has a squad of elite receivers like the Sooners do. Ironically, the only team that may have a more potent offense is only about a hundred miles away from Norman....that team up in Stillwater. The Sooners easily rolled up a very good Texas defense today....I am duly impressed.

As for the 'Horns....I'm happy with the direction of the team. We're really young.....only 13 seniors on the whole roster. We'll be back in the national hunt "sooner" than later.

Jagger the Sooners easily have the best WR core in college football, Broyles and Stills are both #1 WR material, hard to beat that.
