OK OK enough of the legal wrangling....along with the trash talk between t-rock and smoknn. Lighten up guys. Here are this week's picks with a new twist. I'm hoping more people will get involved....we don't have near the participation we did last year. C'mon everyone....the picks from here on out only involve the top 25 teams with their games in descending order. There are 21 games this week so pick 'em. Deadline is Thursday at 8:00pm EDT:

I think the problem with the participation Jags is including the Thursday/Friday games. Having to submit picks by Thursday gives us two less days, and it rolls up before we know it. Just my two cents, trying to help :)

Texas at UCLA - they're mediocre this year the same way they were mediocre last year, but they managed to manhandle Texas :dunno:
UL-Monroe at TCU
Arizona St. at Illinois - 'zona state wins handily
Auburn at Clemson - The Tigers barely got past Wofford
Florida A&M at USF
West Virginia at Maryland
Ohio St. at Miami (FL) - toughest pick of the week for me. Could easily go the other way.

Tennessee at Florida - by a whisker
Michigan St. at Notre Dame - this is SPARTY'S year, Maildude :nanner:
Troy at Arkansas
Arkansas St. at Virginia Tech
Missouri St. at Oregon - what's the line here, Oregon - 100? :D
Navy at South Carolina - pretty interesting matchup. picking SC but could definitely see an upset here.

Washington at Nebraska
Idaho at Texas A&M - Idaho's potatoes will get mashed
Oklahoma St. at Tulsa
Stanford at Arizona
Oklahoma at Florida St.- FSU knocks off number 1
Boise St. at Toledo
LSU at Mississippi St. - Lock Of The Year ;)
North Texas at Alabama

Rick Nuehiesle has to go NOW for UCLA.

I've been really bullish about Rick.
I felt that Dorrell left the cupboard so bare that Rick would need 4 years, maybe 5, to turn things around.
And I really believed he would.
But I have to say I'm running out of patience.
I think it was a huge mistake to cut Norm Chow loose. It wasn't his fault the Bruins don't have a QB who can throw the ball.
This year's team has looked sloppy, unfocused and without any real identity. Their defense was supposed to be vastly improved but so far it ain't.
I'd love to see Rick be a success at his alma mater. No doubt this was his dream job. But at this point the clock is ticking loudly.

To whom am I sucking up? You have entirely misread everyone of my posts, if you think that's what I'm doing. Please let me clarify:

I'm pointing out how much of a penis you are.

Just to be clear.

You post nothing but hearsay, and then verbally attack me. That's very weak.

Actually, I didn't post hearsay. I posted straight from the source. Sorry you can't hear that source, too. You never will, because these facts have now been buried after the woman's suicide. And I didn't attack you. I told you how much I thought of your opinion. That's all.

Hey! Welcome to ignore. You write so badly I can't even discern what point you are trying to make. Please take some more time to write your posts, and stop using "..." I don't know what you think that is doing for your writing, but it is making it a whole lot worse.

...

Enjoy! I'm all done with you now.

No, you actually insulted him. Infraction given.

If the namecalling etc goes on, there will be further consequences.

Understood Yumi but that's the way it was last year too. No matter....the few of us who regularly participate is fine....just trying to generate some additional interest.

On a side note, Sparty unveils their P(uke)-Combats....<< Sorry about the green stuff...:o

lock of the week (drum roll please) take miss st +3.5

LSU at Mississippi St. - Lock Of The Year ;)

 After that last LOCK worked out so well...

Les Miles can, at times, do something super-stupid and either lose or come close to losing, but not this time. West Virginia may give them a run on the 24th, maybe Florida in early October, but the game that everyone is predicting to be the barn-burner is with Alabama (in Tuscaloosa) on Nov. 5. Also, don't forget the Arkansas game on Nov. 25.

LSU has games against 7 ranked teams this year, and Tennessee.

 After that last LOCK worked out so well...

ahhhh my pick last week was georgia + 3 which pushed?? however i liked miss st at the first of the year..and i still do...if auburn played them 10 times this year they would get beat 9 of them...they was damn lucky to get out of that game with a w last week taking nothing away from auburn..but miss st is better than they look at the moment..if this game plays out like i think..i got another one you will really love:stir::wave:

Missouri St. at Oregon
Navy at South Carolina
Washington at Nebraska
Idaho at Texas A&M
Oklahoma St. at Tulsa
Stanford at Arizona
Oklahoma at Florida St
Boise St. at Toledo
LSU at Mississippi St
North Texas at Alabama

Florida A&M at USF-South Florida
West Virginia at Maryland - Maryland
Ohio St. at Miami (FL) - Ohio State

Texas is in a precarious situation because of the Longhorn network. If, or i will say for intensive purposes WHEN, the Big 12 dissolves, Texas will want to go to another conference, and having a network of their own is going to pose a problem with their future conferencemates, but ive been hearing the Pac 12 is willing to talk about the issue and come to a resolution with Texas about the Longhorn network where they can keep it and not be a problem with the other schools in there.

The last thing I read, about 2 weeks ago, the Pac-12 commissioner stated that Texas would have to drop the Longhorn Network if they ever wanted to join. The only way I see them keeping it and joining would be if all the Pac-12 schools gave an okay, and then, only if Texas agreed to having NO share of any Pac-12 TV deal.
