Rick Nuehiesle has to go NOW for UCLA. that or he has to cheat again to make the team a winner cause this gimmick of running a clean program isnt working

Just to be clear on one thing - the student that committed suicide made entirely, provably false allegations about the Football player in question. She fabricated the whole situation. I know this from the county prosecutor himself.

Her suicide is a tragedy, but it was unrelated to any football players. The university did try to hush this up, but not to protect the football player, to protect the girl. I actually think the university showed quite a lot of restraint and good judgment in this instance.

The student photographer is another matter...
Personally, I don't believe that. I've read a lot of articles from many sources on this and IMO, Notre Dame managed to pull off a cover up.

... I can't say I wouldn't react the same way if some shit went down in Tuscaloosa, as I have very little love for the Tide. I'll admit, a part of me wants some bullshit to be exposed from Alabama, so I get how you feel, but would you feel the same way for the Tigers as you feel for the Irish if this happened with Auburn?
I would hope that if an Auburn player committed such a heinous crime, the University would not try to cover it up and if they did, I would be just as outraged.

As for Alabama, after last season, they violated two NCAA rules that I know of:

Rule 12.5.2.1 - an individual shall not be eligible for participation in intercollegiate athletics if the individual permits the use of his or her name or picture to promote directly the sale or use of a commercial product or service of any kind.

Rule 13.11.5 - An institution may not introduce a visiting prospect at a function (e.g., the institution’s sports award banquet or an intercollegiate athletics contest) that is attended by media representatives or open to the general public.

The first violation was due to a clothing store owner named Tom Al-Betar who displayed signed memorabilia in his store from current players.

The second violation was due to a recruit (the son of Barry Sanders) being introduced to the crowd at a home game of the Alabama basketball team.

These two violations, along with other alleged violations have been widely reported on the SportsByBrooks website, but given little if any mention by other sources. If you want to read more about this, just Google the SportsByBrooks site with some of the info I provided and you'll see for yourself.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
OK OK enough of the legal wrangling....along with the trash talk between t-rock and smoknn. Lighten up guys. Here are this week's picks with a new twist. I'm with Jagger about stopping with the marginally related posts, but I wanted to reiterate that this was absolutely not a coverup in this case. I know that for absolute, legal fact. The university was not involved when the decision to drop all charges was made, and the girl was actually facing charges herself. Please, I know what I'm talking about in this instance.

She was facing charges? So you say, but where's the proof of this?

If she was told that, I can't imagine how she felt. She reports a rape, is threatened about it and then told she would be charged. And, if true, why would the family hire someone to investigate the university's involvement? And why would she kill herself over a made-up story?

No disrespect, but I just cannot take your word on this. Until/Unless an official report from an unbiased source is released explaining the situation/evidence, I cannot simply dismiss this young woman's claim.

:surprise::surprise::surprise:

Seriously? I mean, I'd love it to be true, but I just don't believe it...

I honestly cannot see ND going 0-3. This is a must-win for the Irish in every sense of the term, and I think they can and will pull it off. If not, the pressure won't be on me... it'll be on Brian Kelly, so I ain't worried.

I think most females are fake football fans, I also think The news media hates the black male regardless good or bad, and I think Hollywood hates black people, just saying..

I'm just sayin' you don't know what you're talking about.

Come up to C-bus if you don't think women love football.

Neither the news media nor Hollywood hates black people. If you really honestly think that, then you have some real issues.

I understand your point, and I understand your objection. It turns out that what she said was not only challenged by the football player in question, it was proved false by eye witness testimony by more than a dozen others at the same party.

When the investigation was done, she was going to be on the hook for false reporting and misinformation.

Believe it or not, I don't give a flying fuck. If this is your issue with the Irish football program, you are dumb as a sack of retarded pubic hair that has been shaved, burned, shit on, and then digested again.

If the Spartans lose to the Irish...I'd be at a loss for words, I can't foresee that.

I know what you are saying, guys. They are going to lose. This season may actually be a less than .500 season. I don't mean to be a dick, but you should brace yourselves.

Maybe they will, maybe they won’t, but if you “can’t see it” then you have not seen either Sparty or the Irish play.

ND is really not a bad team. If they hadn't turned the ball over like they were allergic to it..they would be 2-0.

As most of you know I'm not one for predictions but Sparty should be on upset alert.

If Michigan continues to play the way they did against Notre Dame, they will go down the week after next when SDSU goes into their home field, the Aztecs dont have the talent that Notre Dame does, but they have a more balanced attack and they wont turn it over at the worst possible times

Be interesting to see how the season develops for M. The team is still in a transition and finding starters for key defensive spots.

A very good sign was our ability to score 28 points in the 4th quarter. Borges' offenses are notorious for executing big plays in the latter half of games though.

Hasn't Michigan been in transition for years and years now?

You post nothing but hearsay, and then verbally attack me. That's very weak.
