FUCK YEAH!!!!!

Spain just lose!!!!

thank god, thanks so much.

The Chileans are my new favorite team. They had fun playing football (although trouble scoring goals), their supporters stood up against the vuvuzelamania and that Sanchez guy is da bomb. He would like his teammates to go home so that he can have the ball all the time. :1orglaugh

The group is wide open now. Spain v Chile should be a hell of a match. Chile likes to attack and the Spaniards will have to attack to secure six points. I'm looking forward to that. :)

Holy fuckin shit !!! Spain lost against Switzerland. Almost unbelievable !!:hatsoff:

Is somewhere outhere.
It's great to see somebody get scalped.I just hope we can do it to
them in the Euro qualifiers :thefinger

With the 2nd round of group matches coming, teams should be less
defensive and more attacked minded as they need to pick up points.

I think Uruguay are going to beat SA tonight with Forlan being in deadly
form :)

I was quite suprised at the result of the Spain - Switzerland match.

So far none of the favourates have turned up, England, Brazil, Italy, Holland, Spain, and Argentina have all played pretty poorly, the only teams i've been impressed with so far are Chile and Germany.

Teams seem to be defending in 2 blocks of 4 and only trying to score on the counter attack because everybody is affraid to lose. Once we get to the last games of the groups and the knock out stage i think it will pick up, and we'll be seeing alot more flowing attacking football.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
My dad was passed out by the 20th minute to see his beloved Swiss win.

Uruguay is playing very good.

My pick to win it all -- Spain -- er, wut the fook happened? :o

I'm not bailing on them, but they better wake the hell up!!

But i think that Spain can win World Cup.

Sure they can. West Germany reached the final in 1982 after losing their first match against Algeria. Spain will have to win the next two matches though. And Chile won't give in so easily.

I have really warmed to the second tier of South American nations. I've always liked the Urus but tonight's match was superb. They have a good chance to take the group and avoid Argentina in the next round. That could spell their first quarterfinal since 1970.

Paraguay was courageous, yet a bit unlucky against Italy. I see them advance too. And Chile --- see above. :iloveyou:

Spain has a Chance to win, as long as they don't mess up like they did today.

Except for Germany, I'm still waiting for the real action to start. :crying:

Are you serious? :1orglaugh

One thing I'm sure of is Spain will not win. No team has ever lost their first game and gone on to win. Spain has never made it past the quarter finals stage and they just don't look like they have what it takes to win the world cup. :2 cents:

btw I can't believe a team can be loosing and leave cesc fabregas on the bench. Can anyone explain this to me? :dunno:

Yes, I can. Spain is that fucking deep, and within their system there are better options. Plus I think there's a bias against players who play outside of Spain. The only players who make the squad who play outside Spain are ones that broke in with the national squad before they left Spain. That said, Cesc is not as good as Iniesta, Xavi, Villa, and Torres. I think it's possible that they choose to play Xabi Alonso in defensive midfield, bench Busquets, and have Cesc play the spot Alonso occupied against Switzerland. And that's assuming Torres isn't 100 %, otherwise he will start, likely pushing Iniesta into the midfield and Busquets/Cesc onto the bench.

Spain are the new Arsenal....or maybe Del Bosque is the new Wenger.
But thats the thing with playing triangular passes on the pitch...sometimes you get so engrossed in your poetic distribution, that you completely forget about the fucking goal.

Anyways... drop Silva, Iker and Busquets over Jesus, Pepe Reina and Cesc respectively and everything will be back to normal.
In time El Nino will get back his form and become match fit and then he can partner Villa upfront.

If Swiss go on and win their next two matches(dont bet against it..Ottmar is a wonderful coach) then fancy Spain finishing second....which might mean a Brazil VS Spain in the next round.
Dunga would be shitting bloody Bricks.
Unless Spain continue to play like yesterday...which I dont think will be the case.

PS:--After all the team performances...our draw against the yanks seems a good result.
