Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
The Lions will probably go after Sam Bradford, and will promptly turn him into the next big name loser quarterback of the NFL.

We'll have to wait until after the combine but right now Matthew Stafford is the front-runner at QB according to the draft sites.

Would St Louis take Tebow or Stafford? I think they need a QB too. St Louis could run a little option/Wildcat with Tebow and Stephen Jackson.

The Rams don't need a QB nearly as much as they need a whole lot of other stuff so, as a Rams fan (yes, there are still some us us diehards left), I don't see that happening....at least I sure hope not.

The Rams need a lot but most of all they need a home-run hitter on offense to take some of the heat off Jackson. They were pathetic inside the red zone this season because of their woeful offense. My personal choice would be either Michael Crabtree (assuming he comes out) or, if not, Jeremy Maclin (again, assuming he comes out). Since Daniel is graduating, I think Maclin will declare and I also think Crabtree will as well. Holt is going to be leaving and we need another WR threat to go with Avery. Crabtree fits the bill perfectly for a "thunder and lightning" WR combo and Maclin is so versatile you could spread him all over the field....even at RB as a change of pace back for Jackson.

After witnessing what the Trojans did to my Buckeyes in Sept and wathing the Rose Bowl yesterday, drafting about anyone from that defense is a pretty safe bet

if the lions have any brains the draft line help either o or d and pick lots of defense. they can wait on a qb.

I hope my Broncos draft Taylor Mays. Seeing the teams in the playoffs right now, safty seems to be the common theme.

Haven’t they already proven otherwise?

Well they have a new GM so there is some hope...

They need a couple things, but like Red said they can wait on a QB. Draft some offensive linemen this draft and wait for Mark Sanchez, Chase Daniel, Colt McCoy next year.

They allready have a top 5 reciever and a good young RB. They can plug Cullpepper in at QB. There biggest need is O-Line and defense.

Your probably right.

After watching the Bowl games, I would take Chase Daniel off that list of NFL prospects

did bradford declare?

No, he hasn't, but I really dont know if he will. He still has two more years and even if he has a bad year, he can redeem himself the next.

Bradford seems to like college, and Oklahoma is still loaded for another title run. He also still has things to work on and it is not guaranteed he will be a top pick.

I hope and pray he stays!

One of the two quarterbacks could end up in Detroit, which has the No. 1 pick, and playing for the first 0-16 team in league history doesn’t seem to bother Stafford.

“That’s fine with me,” Stafford said. “I’d love to play anywhere that wants me to play and try to make them a winner.”

At least we wont have a Eli Manning issue, if Detroit takes Stafford..

I really wish would they would not a take a QB though..

1 Detroit Lions
3 Kansas City Chiefs
4 Seattle Seahawks
6 Cincinnati Bengals (Carson is injured and team needs a future plan)
8 Jacksonville Jaguars
10 San Francisco 49ers
17 New York Jets (Assuming Favre retires)
18 Chicago Bears
19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
22 * Philadelphia Eagles (If McNab leaves, traded)
23 * Minnesota Vikings

These are the teams that could draft a QB in the First Round. Detroit MUST draft a QB #1. Kansas City has Brody Croyle as backup, but I don't know if they see him as a starter or not. They have Damon Huard--14yr player?

I think Mark Sanchez would return to SC to try to win Heisman and be first Latino heisman winner. Although...given all these teams that need QBs and given the lack of surefire QBs in college...the prudent choice is to declare and go in the draft this year.

Sanchez...Bradford...Stafford. These are the big 3. Everyone else pretty much is a 3rd or later choice.

johnny unitas wasn't even drafted and look how great he turned out. same with kurt warner. tony romo wasn't drafted either. lots of highly regarded college QBs don't do well (Matt Leinart, Chris Wenke, Gino Torretta etc.) you think you can evaluate QB talent but reality is, you are often wrong.

tebow had 3rd best passing efficiency in the nation this season, 2nd best last season. he's extremely coachable and motivated to improve. next season, tebow will have his own QB coach helping him develop. why doubt him? when tebow was a freshman, people said his style wouldn't work in the SEC. guess what? those people have been proven to be stupid.

on that last drive vs. Oklahoma, he was perfect. that pass over the middle to david nelson on 3rd down was a thing of beauty, perfect spiral over the linebacker, away from the safety where only his receiver could get it. that was an NFL throw.

Taylor Mays is staying, him and Myron Rolle will be in the 2010 draft. I think the best position class this year is the DLine. Sen'Derrick Marks (Auburn), Tyson Jackson (LSU), Fili Moala (USC), Greg Middleton (Indiana), Brian Orakpo (Texas), Michael Johnson (Georgia Tech), and George Selvie (USF) among others, will be available this year.

The lions have serviceable qb's and next year looks lodaded at the postion. With all the good d-line players that is the diredtion they should go first followed by o-line or corner
