4-1 you know which match I'm talking about. :)
Arsenal are a great team but they must buy at least 2 world class and experienced players before the start of next season to take them to the next level. :2 cents:

Methinks the worst thing we did was score first...it just pissed them off....:(

Oh well - let's move on and beat that other North London team...

No shame in losing to the best. I think there is no doubt who the world's best player is right now. I can't see any team stopping Messi.

Inter will be playing some tough defense. Should be a a good semi

All credit goes to Barca. I only watched the first half and then turned it off. I only did that because I got home late, turned on the tv and the damn ESPN ticker thingy *spoiled* the score for me. I was surprised we scored 1st and surprised that Barca didn't play as sharp as they did in London. Obviously Messi came to play and if he misfired a bit in London (or Alex Song might've actually played him tight) he was on fire tonight. The better team won. I wish it wasn't a blowout.

It would've been nice if we had RvP, Arshavin, Cesc and Gallas in the lineup.

The Champion's League final this year is Barcelona vs Inter. That should be a hell of a matchup with sub-plots galore. It should be a tight matchup. I really don't know who to root for. I think (from what I've seen) that Inter have been the better team all season long, however, nobody is playing better than Barca right now. They are peaking at the right time for sure.

I think the Goons have to realize that our starting 11 is good enough to win silverware. We just can't keep the starting 11 healthy for an entire season. When we have to go to the bench, we get exposed. It's not good that we have to choose between Sol Campbell and Mikael Silvestre as our backup Defenders, two players who were studs at one point but are now well past their primes.

We have to sign 1 A-quality striker for sure, and another Vermaelen type defender for sure. I think we need to part ways with Gallas, Nasri or Rosicky, and Arshavin. I don't think Arshavin wants to be in the EPL and we might be able to sell him to Italy or Spain for a decent price. Nasri and Rosicky are gifted with the ball, but they're slow and we don't have room both of them anymore. I'd rather have Diaby, Eboue and Denilson. Our 2011 midfield starters should be Diaby, Cesc, Song, Walcott.

We need to sell quality players in order to be able to sign other quality players to fill needs we actually have. Bendtner, Vela and Eduardo aren't enough as striker options.

Agreed. Arsenal are missing something and Wenger's pennypinching ways are not helping. I feel that two players who could have helped in that game were Toure and Adebayor. That said, Wenger knows what he's doing and I'm hopeful he will strengthen in the off season. Here's hoping the club can hold on to Fabregas, Van Persie, Arshavin etc. All of these are first class players who could join any big team.

The European Cup will come to Arsenal in the next few years, I hope!

PS - INTER V BARCA is a semi final where the winners will make the Champions league final against either MAN UTD/BAYERN MUNICH or LYON/BORDEAUX. My moneys on BARCA MAN UTD final.

I hate that damn ESPN ticker. Always fucking gets me.

Alot of people talk about Barca going for Cesc, but if I could take anybody off of Arsenal, itd be Gael Clichy. The guy's solid, and Eric Abidal for me has been a disappointment the last few years. They aren't many great LBs, but theres plenty of quality Arshavins and Fabregases.

Now Dortmund is only one point away from Champions League! :D
1. Bay. München 29 59
2. FC Schalke 04 29 58
3. B. Leverkusen 29 53
4. Bor. Dortmund 29 52
5. Werder Bremen 29 48

And HSV-player Guerrero throwing a bottle against a fan!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgEIWLFuBrQ

I really hate Dortmund, but it would be hilarious if those eternal losers Vizekusen will miss out on the CL next season. But there's a good chance, since they'll get an azz whoppin Saturday evening.

As far as this scumbag Guerrero is concerned, he should be fired, but since HIV is one of the shittiest clubs in Germany, they won't do that. But in the end that player and that club go very well together...ha ha ha!!! On the other hand, that fan is almost as big a douchebag, shouting from afar is weak, he should have stepped down and punched this Peruvian dumbfuck right in the face. Anyhow, laughed my ass off when saw that, HIV is as classless as it gets.

It seemed to me that Fergie ran his yap before today's match with Bayern and it came back to bite him in the today. :thefinger

Does anyone think Bayern vs Lyon will be close? I see this as a Bayern walk in the park...unless Ribery puts in an own goal ;) I'm sure he normally hates Lyon, but for the past 2 years, the stories in America about Bayern have been nothing more than Ribery wanting out of there to play with Barca or Chelski...

Will Ribery be Lyon's "secret weapon" :thefinger

RE: Ade-bye-bye....Wenger did the right thing getting rid of a player who didn't have a decent attitude towards the Arse, and started touting himself to other teams instead of building on his considerable goal haul a couple of seasons ago...heck, I wished Arsene sold him earlier when he was more highly rated and made more money...

As for penny-pinching: I sometimes wonder how much Wenger really has available from the board...but considering Arsenal were supposed to be the weakest link of the "Big 4" at the start of the 2009-10 season (I recall this was supposed to be Liverpool's season according to most pundits), and considering how they've has managed without RvP for so long, I'm damn proud of the team and their manager (course if they don't beat Spurs next week, I'll retract my comments asap...)

I still think Adebayor should have been replaced. I'm hoping Wenger will strengthen at the end of the season.

The transfer profits from selling Adebayor, Henry and Toure are greater than the money spent on Arshavin and Vermaelen.

The Goons new CEO--Ivan Gatzidis(?) commented that our Nike agreement is paltry compared to Man United. We're going to re-negotiate that and triple our licensing revenue. Man United will probably still make more but there should not be such a gap in licensing fees as there is (I believe it's $8mill for us and $100 mil for them).

The latest Goon Financial info suggests that the club is in great shape compared to Liverpool and ManU (debt-heavy teams).
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/arsenal-reveal-record-profit-1794430.html

We have the dough. We need to spend it because we can't really rely that our top players --RvP, Cesc, etc.--will play an entire season anymore...:o

WHen has Drogba, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, ROnaldo (when he was around) missed several months of a season before? I really don't know. CHelski seems bulletproof for injuries...same with the mancs...
