New USA Today poll and AP poll :2 cents:
Wow, Bama picks up 10 #1 votes in AP! Unfortunately, the Tide needs to stay focused with SCAR, UT, and LSU up next.

Texas has been an enigma to me so far. They have awesome talent but way too often they play down to the level of their competition. I'll actually be very glad to have a serious quality opponent to face them next week in Oklahoma. They need to compete against quality teams to justify their national standing which, quite frankly, is over-inflated based on their schedule so far.
Can't wait for the Red River Shootout (sorry....can't warm up to calling it the "rivalry"....just doesn't have the same ring to it!)!

Im not an USC fan.
Having said that, there are probably 3 teams in the top 25 that would be favored against USC if they played.
If only SCAR lost this weekend, I would almost guarantee they will take down Bama. But since they won, Bama will not overlook them and the ol' ball coach won't be able to sneak up and beat them. I think this will be a close game though....so we'll see.
Lane Kiffin might be able to outscheme Satan though...although I can't believe UT has a shot at knocking off Bama since they choked against ucla already..
Ouch. Is this a bit of Sunday morning bitterness creeping in Mega...:dunno: I think these bimbos are less on bimbo and more on respectable hottie..(as long as neither of them has a tin of skoal in their backpocket)...
Thats the exact reason why I think they'll beat OU. This is a huge game, so you know Colt is going to play huge. I could care less that Texas is somewhat struggling. He's played this defense before so I don't see him having any problem.
now theres 2 chicken heads....wonder if they both got tramp stamps.....
Well since you are a Sooner fan I'm glad to see you drinking the Texas kool-aid. I'm not quite ready to believe yet. We'll see what happens on Saturday.
By the way, my local paper says they are kicking off at 11:00 am CDT. Doesn't really matter to me but why wouldn't ESPN/ABC want this to be the prime-time game??:dunno:
I've been to this game once, and the game is part of the fair. You start off by going to the Cotton bowl, then after you enjoy the fair. I think the people who run the Red River Rivalry prefer it that way and there's not much ESPN can do about it.
I don't think there is a better authority on the topic of crazy than Al Davis, and he said Kiffin was nuts
