I believe Oklahoma had the toughest scheduel last year and lost to two teams that finished in the top 3. Not too bad!

Preseaon prediction #2 - USC will lose to somebody they shouldn't lose to. UCLA three years ago, Stanford two years ago, Oregon State last year. That means it'll probably be one of the Arizona teams this year, or worse yet..........UCLA again :eek: :eek:

Tebow got ripped off when he didn't win the Heisman last year. Bradford only won because Stoopes kept him playing during blowout games so Bradford could pad his stats, against crappy teams.

Tebow wins his second Heisman and Florida wins it's second straight national championship this year.

These are the names that jump out at me...anyone got any others?

This is year 3 for Shannon and The U. In Year 2--Big Game Bobby Stoops won an NC with the Sooners. In Year 2 -- SC wiped the Miami Bowl field with the Iowa Hawkeyes (who have never recovered from that beatdown, btw:thefinger)

In fact..we should add Kirk Ference to the Hot Seat List, I think...

Nick Satan Saban has performed 2 quick turnaround jobs -- LSU and Bama..

I don't think Miami Fan/Student/Alum will settle for the Emerald Bowl in Year 3...that's not exactly progress, especially when the Gators are #1 and FSU is climbing back into the National picture...:2 cents::dunno: Randy Shannon was a solid Defensive Coordinator, perhaps that's where he belongs, at the DC level?

General consensus seems to be that Shannon has done an outstanding job of recruiting (he's only got one recruiting class prior to this upcoming season....his first year was with all of Coker's recruits) so, from what my S. FL buddies tell me, this is not a "do-or-die" year for Shannon. The sophomore class is outstanding....especially on the defensive side of the ball. They are young but you keep an eye on the 'Canes....they'll be back in the title hunt sooner than later.

I guess not. I don't know how they could improve on what they did last season and they didn't win the "title". The message seems to be....not a major conference, you got no shot to win the title.

I stongly agree!

Everyone I've talked to, including myself, love the job he is doing in Miami. The fans love him, including the recruits which why Miami has had such great recruiting classes since he's been coach.

I expect Miami to have a better year than Florida State this year, but their true potential will come in 2010/2011 season.

I hope Alabama loses every game as long as Saban is there. he showed his true character when he ran from the Miami Dolphins job. He didn't get half the bad press he deserved. He is no where near as good as he thinks he is and yes, that was Utah that beat his team in the Sugar Bowl. Utah!!!!

Big time UCLA fan here but our ex-coach left the cupboard bare so we're still a couple of years away from being relevant. But look out for us starting around 2011!
