The spirit of Duffy needs to come back and slap some people around. Don't get me wrong Dantonio is a BIG improvement over anyone we have had in a while. I think they could have won if those chuckleheads would have just stayed in that night.

Dantonio's great. Theyll be very, very good within a couple years.

I have to agree if they played at full power it would have been much different I truly think State was the better team at full strength:thumbsup:

It's been 4 years, but they have won 5 BCS games.

Yes, I think you are right. Look for Oregon to win the PAC 10 next year.

Sorry but one BCS and 4 National Championships, nothing taking away. 3 apperances despite the 2 losses in still stellar in my book!

With virtually the entire TCU/Boise teams returning intact, both will go undefeated next year. Both will have high-profile regular-season wins. Both will have the halo effect from this season's BCS breakthrough. The effort DID chip away at the BCS establishment, and that will pay off next year when TCU, Boise and one BCS-league team (I'll say Ohio State) will be undefeated. The winner of their game tonight will have the advantage in the minds of the coaches and Harris pollsters who will help decide next season's national-title pairing. Not just in the preseason -- but in the final ballot.

Only one unbeaten non-BCS party-crasher will be given an invite to next year's national championship game. With both teams looking even stronger in 2010 than they did in 2009, tonight might as well be the head-to-head "playoff" to pick between them.

The bowl games are boring. There's nothing at stake other than the championship game being played on Thursday. The rest of them are simply exhibition games. Meaningless. Even the Fiesta Bowl tonight....all it will determine is that one team who will never have a legitimate opportunity to play for the national championship beat another team with the same attributes. "Bowl Championship Series"....what the fuck is that supposed to mean? There is no "series"....unless they are referring to the regular season. It's a fucking joke.

It is my fervent hope that one day we'll look back at these days, shake our collective heads in wide-eyed wonderment and say, "What in the world were they thinking???".

Oh....TCU 38, BSU 21

No, I was referring to BCS games in response to Wolves 39 saying:

Ohio State finally won a BCS bowl game. Oregon is a good football team, i see them winning the pac next season.
Since the BCS started 11 years ago, Ohio State has won 5 BCS games:

• Beat Big 12 champ Texas A&M in the Sugar Bowl after the 1998 season.
• Beat Miami in the National Championship after the 2002 season.
• Beat Big 12 champ Kansas St in the Fiesta Bowl after the 2003 season.
• Beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl after the 2004 season.
• Beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl this year.

Wow....a defensive battle so far at the half. I thought there would be a lot more offense. Maybe both teams are a bit in awe of the national spotlight so far? Sure looks that way to me.
