Well, he's their starting DE and is considered a 1st-round draft prospect so it sure doesn't help. Anytime you lose a starter, especially in a key game like this one, it's a big deal. We'll see.

That's a major blow to the Florida defense! Anytime you lose a guy who's a game changer in a close match-up, it's gonna affect how you play. And don't give me that crap that "it shouldn't mater because Florida is loaded".... bullshit. Florida doesn't have six Carlos Dunlaps in waiting.

I **** to sound like a total OU homer(but I am), but Oklahoma didn't have DeMarco Murray in the championship game. "Well it shouldn't matter because they had two 1,000 yard rushers". Losing him meant we lost an added dimension to our offense. OU lost a close game and struggled in the red-zone. What if? We also lost our best LB in the RRR that year too. Just sayn'.

You have to suspend him indefinitely. It's the only appropriate action. To do otherwise gives the wrong message to all concerned. I think his absence would make a significant difference for the Gator defense. Whether they can hold up is debatable but this certainly doesn't help.

Well said, especially in light of the Spikes slap on the wrist and the fact Meyer has had 40+ Gators arrested during his tenure. Will all of that, Meyer will probably start him... it's his MO - Win at any cost.

No offense meant to Coach Bowden, but at 6-6 the Seminoles don't deserve a Gator Bowl bid. My guess is they get a lesser bowl (Music City or GMAC Bowl maybe)....Bowden's career accomplishments notwithstanding. Bottom line is, FSU is just not a very good team.

I wish Bobby all the best in his retirement. Without a doubt, he's one of the greatest coaches in college football history.

Does Dunlap's (pending) suspension from the SEC Champ game affect the over/under rushing yards for Ingram?

I have the over/under for his rushing at 50...and without Dunlap, I would put money on >50 :thefinger

Jagz--there really aren't a whole lot of great teams this season. As long as FSU doesn't play in a BCS game, I really would like to see the NCAA put together a "special game" for Bowden. Maybe they don't put it together per se, but a decent Florida Bowl will petition for an FSU -- Notre Dame game :dunno:, or FSU versus Penn State :dunno: or FSU versus Auburn? Basically, a matchup with a bit more meat on the bone than, say, FSU versus Arizona in the Piggly Wiggly Bowl....

That was the past I'm in the same boat as you what have you done for me lately besides go undefeated in the regular season which is great it is outstanding it is very hard to do that in this era of college football but go win a bowl game I still want a reason you guys lost to Utah :dunno:

All good and dandy but you still lost the SEC championship game AND Sugar Bowl last year. Kinda like the Pats going 18-1, it's great and wonderful to do that but you lost the big game so it don't mean shit.

You can talk all day about past championships but it means nothing as of right now.
By this logic Michigan State is a better team than Florida because they can lay claim to 6 titles to Florida's 5. Michigan has more titles than anybody (other than all those Ivy League titles back in the 1800's) but they suck right now.

For the record I think 'Bama's defence will slow Tebow down and that they can win this game. But just remember that you have two former Michigan State head coaches on your staff, so don't get your hopes up too high.

I gave you the answer for that like three weeks ago go back and read the posts.You never gave me an answer and to be honest with you i don't think Bama would have beaten Oklahoma last season if they got by Flordia hell I'm not a Flordia fan but that team had some hellish talent.Look once again I not taking anything away from Bama and as a fan if I hear another fan of any team say we just watched the NC go down the drain and that is why we lost well that is just sad I mean really sad.You guys should have beat Utah like they stole something and you know that is the truth you guys should have been able to beat those guys because you were pissed.Bama should have been like we just lost a chance to play for the NC lets beat the snot out of these guys.Instead you came in thinking these guys are pushovers and Utah gave you your ass on a stick alreadyfeeling disrespected,undefeated and no chance to win a NC they came in like a fat man in a buffet They became beasts and you know the rest
