I think this might be turning into a "Whose the BEST Drummer" instead of a "FAVORITE Drummer" thingy. My favorites would have to be Peart and Bonham. Not only did they keep their band tight but their sound and musicality was/is an integral part of the songs. Plus they are interesting and...

(I know it's three in a row -- but they only let me post 1 vid per!!) Another GREAT drummer, and possibly forgotten, Ginger Baker. He's kind of like the Jeff Beck of drums.

p.s. -- I'm VERY surprised that no one has posted perhaps THE single most influential rock drummer -- Bonzo! The Zep (and the Beastie Boys) would NEVER have been what they were if it weren't for that SOUND and style!
