Samurais rejoice! Querrey beat Andy Murray in LA, defending his title from last year.
Sam fought off a match point before winning in 3 sets, his first victory against Andy: 5–7, 7–6(2), 6–3.
That makes it Querreys fourth title of the year, while Murray is still stuck at zero :uohs:

yeah.
Only Rafa has more titles than Sam: 5.
Querrey is one of the most in-form players for the upcoming US Open.
For Murray, his miserable year continues: no titles (and we're in August already. Last year he had 4 by this time) and only two finals: Oz and L.A)
That's too damn little for someone who says that want to say a Grand Slam, and someone who was world's no. 2 last year.
Juanqui Ferrero won the ATP 250 of Umag (Croatia)
It's his third title of the year, 15th of his great career. He beat italian Potito Starace in straight sets.
Clay is the perfect stage for Juanqui, of course. But he has an US Open final (lost against A-Rod), so he might be a force in Toronto, Cincy and NY.
Even if he's not, his year is already great: three titles in four finals. I'd call that a sort of reinassaince for the former No. 1
For Potito, still without titles, it was a great week, beating some great players along the way. However, i wouln't say that he's coming strong for the rest of the hard-court season: he's a claycourter.
Nico Almagro won the ATP 250 of Gstaad (Swizterland)

It's his second title of the year, 2nd in the last couple of weeks. He beat frenchman Gasquet in straight sets.
Good run for the spaniard, who seems to finally starting to waking up and looking to be a solid top-20.
When he's serving well, he's a menace in any surface. Someone to watch out for.
For Richard, it was his 3rd final of the year, and that's already good news, after his drug-related hiatus.
This week:
ATP 500 of Washington (USA)
Projected QFs:
Berdych-Isner
Verdasco-Baghdatis
Querrey-Cilic
Roddick-Wawrinka
others players to watch: Golubev, Gulbis, Hewitt, Fish
looks exciting!
Interesting as hell. Berdych should continue his great year.
