X-Men Origins: Wolverine

yup,you are right. That is his height. So says Marvel. However I have Uncanny X-Men 325 when Gene Nation and the X-Men fight and at the end of the comic Storm is holding Wolverine's hand and walking with him,the artist rendition showed Wolverine half the height of Storm!
Yes,HALF! It was Joe Madueira(hope I spelt his name right)

Despite the fact they list his height to be that, there have been so many countless time an artist has depicted him much taller than what they list him at. I actually found it rare when I still read comics when they actually depicted him as very short.

I just saw the movie this afternoon and it was great. Great action, great effects. You don't have to take your thinking cap with you and I suggest you actually leave it at home. Just enjoy the ride!

I agree - it was a very fun ride of a movie - action, humor, emotional charge - it was a great popcorn movie.

Is Hugh Jackman particularly popular to Hispanics or something? The press junket noted that he started the premier at a Town in Arizona and in Mexico and Costa Rica I think. That's a little different than usual. I was trying to guess if maybe parts of the film take place in Mexico or something, but I can't really tell.

Really dude...Really. Now it's racial! No I am just a comic book junkie it has nothing to do with me being Mexican!

I saw it this afternoon too and it was a good movie. Dare I say it was better than any of the X-Men movies?? :wave2:

Well I stumbled on this Tribute to our Favorite Merc
Deadpool Tribute - Surprise, You're Dead!
It has scans from every artist era going all the way back to when we spelled his name Dead-Pool up to the last series of mini series.
There are also some of the classic posters.

The more I hear about this movie the more I don't like it. The lame ass helicopter scene is almost enough to make me not want to watch alone. Then throw in everything else.

i was reading a thing on hugh jackmans son who picks up older women using the line well hey my dad plays wolverine lol .

smart boy if you ask me

does he say 'shh'? i read that he just asks "who the hell are you?" after he picks up the weaponXI head...

either way - its good!

Yeah there were conflicting reports about the ending, but I saw it on Youtube (before they took it down) and that's pretty much it. And actually I'm not even sure if he said "Sssshh" or anything at all as the video was kind of messed up with the sound, but he opens his eyes and that's all.

The movie was kind of underwhelming. Fans who've never read any of the X-Men comics and liked the first 3 Wolverine/X-Men movies will love it, fans who have read the comics will loathe it.

I still say the dude who played Sabretooth was perfect in his role though, besides the whole lame subplot between him and Wolverine.

Actually Dougray Scott was hired and set to play Wolverine but filming on Mission Impossible 2 didn't finish and he had no choice but to bow out of X-Men. That's how Hugh Jackman got hired.

That's pretty much why I mentioned him before Crowe. I'm aware that Dougray was basically signed and sealed before Jackman was brought aboard at virtually the last minute. Though like the case with Michelle Pfeiffer replacing Annette Benning, or Kim Basinger replacing Sean Young due to unexpected circumstances, it all worked itself out quite well in the end.

I'm not a big X-Men guy, but I have read the comics, and I liked it alright. Personally, it's right about where I place all the other X-Men films. Which is, entertaining, but nothing remotely astonishing.

Yeah, Liev's Sabretooth was a nice and welcome change.

A few over the top moments, a few times I wished there was a half hour more movie to explain it all and give more story.. but overall I really friggin' liked it.

MORE DEADPOOL! Gawd I love that character. In limited doses he is AWESOME, in overdose.. just obnoxious. But hey, that's Deadpool. Makes me wanna play ultimate alliance 2, actually..

Thanks heaps yeah i Love Deadpool!!!

Own ALL his comics including cameos in New Mutants, Wolverine, X-Men, Cable etc i just Love him lol

I still have some of the New Mutant comics with Deadpool and first 20 issues of Cable/Deadpool, but what I really want is a Graphic Novel comprising of all issues of with him in it, be it Cable/Deadpool or something else. I own his toys from Marvel Legends and the movie toy (comic version of course) and he's my most favorite comic book hero of all time because with DP things are never boring.

i "just" watch it... and i don't like wolverine... adamantium skeleton with shiny blades smelling shit from ten yards away? bleh... what a unique character... i want x-men origins mystique or at least storm. but really, whatto learn from this movie?

1. he is made of adam. we already know that. (i mean even if you don't read the comic books and just watch x-men movies)
2. he lost his memory. we know that too.

so he has a brother like himself with only x2 big nails than normal? wooooo-hoooo. that's what i call creativity...

blows...

Really dude...Really. Now it's racial! No I am just a comic book junkie it has nothing to do with me being Mexican!

Actually my sister in law just confirmed it. She's from Pueblo, Mexico and she LOOVES X-Men and so do all her friends and family. Particularly Hugh Jackman. I wonder if that's why she married my brother....

And if we reallly want to get technical, Mexican isn't a race:1orglaugh. You could fit in with my Aunts and they're all from Italy and Ireland.

But I'll bow down to your criticism, no offense meant, but premiering in a small town in Arizona is sort of an odd move, no?
