first of all there too many PPV's. they need to drop some, 4or5 maybe, so storylines and title reigns last longer like the glory days. i am so sick of seeing a new champion every month, especially between the same people. as far as the PunkvCena match goes, i recently read that WWE management may have plans to have Del Rio cash in the MITB briefcase and win the title so he'll be champion when WWE does their upcoming tour in Mexico.:pukey:

You say you're sick of seeing the same people in the title picture but then puke at Alberto Del Rio, someone new, as a possible champion.

one of my many jumping points with WWE was 3 straight months where the PPV main event was John Cena/Batista and Cena won every time. i got tired of that storyline dragging out for such a long time and the results never changed. That was also the point i got tired of Cena's title reign. I long to see someone different hold the championship like they did when Miz won it.

i dont care if Del Rio becomes champion(now that he's been with the company for a full year) but to put the title on him just so the WWE wins over the crowd in Mexico is a lame reason to make someone the champion(thats what the puke was about). Did they forget their own past, Jake Roberts had massive following and half the time a bigger pop then Hogan(as mentioned in his dvd) yet Roberts never held a WWF championship. However i'd rather see John Morrison champion.

I agree with you on the PPV thing, it's not that they have too much though, they can have 12-14 PPVs a year, BUT, they need to go back to the Raw vs Smackdown! formula and they need enough talent on both shows to entertain for 3 hours, if they choose to do so. Alot of people disliked that layout, but I believe it gives them more time to build matches and they don't have to rush things. Back when I used to actually buy the pay per views I fucking hated that there were so many PPVs, but now that I can use streams because the quality of WWE has declined and I don't want to waste my money on it, I'm fine with that.

Alberto Del Rio is the future of WWE, but hey, You already know that.

they could at least bring back the King of The Ring PPV. WWE needs an overhaul. drop a few PPV's and for f*ck sakes, they really need to rebuild the tag-team division cause its pretty much dead. remember the tag division comprised of- The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs(my all time fav.) The Killer Bee's, The Can-Am Connection, Demolition, Iron Sheik/Nikolai Volkoff, The Rougeau Brothers, The Dream Team,The U.S. Express, man those were the days.

I agree-they really need to do something with the tag team division.:hairpull: The Road Warriors, plus those great teams named above. Those were the days

i must really be out of the loop with wrestling, who the fuck is husky harris?
i have never heard of him

Husky Harris is Mike Rotunda's son. He was a part of Nexus for a while before being sent back down to FCW.

I find it funny that the videos THQ used for "Greatest Moments" were just pulled from Youtube instead of the WWE archives. Look at Natayla's and you'll see that it's backwards.:1orglaugh

EDIT: The above post wasn't there when I responded.

SummerSlam was really good as far as the main-even matches go. I'm very interested to see where this whole CM Punk/John Cena/HHH/Kevin Nash/Alberto Del Rio storyline goes from here.

A friend and I went to a movie theatre to watch Summerslam this year... Good event, I suppose, except for the two Championship matches. Can't fucking believe they let Orton win that match. What was the point of bringing Edge back if Christian was just going to lose? If they are going to have a rematch at Night of Champions, then why didn't Christian go over? If he went over WWE could have advertised their match as the final one because Christian would have finally beaten Orton one-on-one and therefore prove he was on his level... Now Christian will never be taken seriously as a main event level talent again.

And it seems like I was the only person who saw Del Rio cashing in coming. I just didn't know how it was going to happen. Everyone in the theatre was silent as Punk was celebrating, thinking that was it when I yelled "Holy shit it's Kevin Nash!" Bunch of parents didn't like that...

Don't forget to throw Mysterio into the mix as well. And Laurinaitis. And Steph. And possibly Vince.

The possibilities of this storyline are absolutely endless. The WWE has done an amazingly good job of keeping everyone guessing ever since THAT Punk promo. They could get months of TV out of all the permutations with this programme.

However, they also need to do something with their middle and lower card because R-Truth and The Miz have been superb recently, plus Ziggler and Riley looks an interesting feud.

That was the thing about the Attitude Era. Yes, all the Austin / McMahon / Rock / DX / Foley stuff was the standout memory, but their low and middle cards were filled with great matches and angles, too. They need to make sure that happens now. They have the talent, after all.

The more I think about Summerslam, the more I realize something: the actual wrestling at the show was amazing, but the booking was very questionable. The World Heavyweight Championship match still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and the WWE Championship match was overbooked with Cena getting his foot on the ropes (a very anticlimatic finish cause everyone thought they were going to go for another fifteen minutes) and Punk getting destroyed by Nash/pinned by Del Rio. The matches themselves were good, but when it came for the WWE to actually advance storylines... they blew it.

And on a side note, did anyone see Beth Phoenix almost pull down Kelly Kelly's shorts?

del rio is only the champ because wwe is going to be touring mexico soon, if they were not going to be going to mexico, the rug would have been pulled out from under del rios feet once again
