i watched the UHD replay of RAW last night.
i have to say that it took how long? for CM Punk to be over big with the crowd and to be IMO the main guy in WWe. he is the fan-loved HEEL character.
some guys it comes in the wink of an eye, others need to find that character, that persona, Austin did it when he left WCW-pit stopped in ECW-became the ringmaster in WWE before doing the SCSA thing. the Rock was the same way as the Rocky Miavia character was just stale-the whole Nation of Domination was ok...until he moved onto the next step-The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. Taz of ECW days was sorta the same when he was this crazy "jungle animal" character before becoming the Human Suplex Machine. i feel the same with Foley-his final step was the Hell in the Cell when he jumpedleaps and bounds to being THe Guy
i see just from the moment Punk walked out to confront Nash that he realized the way his character should finally be used/portayed.
Plus with Punk,Austin,Rock,Taz and many others its like it all finally comes together like an open hand forming into a closed fist all the aspects of their character come together at once, good/great matches, good interesting storylines, ability on the Mic (very important) just Melds and creates a Buzz and a guy you cant miss week to week.i loved Punk from the Indie days so you sorta see them rise to the pinnacle :nanner:
