I think it's time to unify all of the Championships. There's too many of them and they honestly don't mean anything anymore. How can you call yourself the World Champion when there's another guy (or two if you add the ECW Championship) who can make the same claim? There should be one World Championship, one Women's Championship and one Secondary Championship (IC or US) to go along with the now one Tag Team Championship. With unified titles the Champions can go to any show and defend the championship much like Trish Stratus did for a while as the Women's Champion. Also they should cut down the number of PPVs. Four PPVs a year is just fine, one for each of the seasons.

I agree that there are WAY too many titles. Personally, they should only have 4 titles...

WWE Champion
Intercontinental Champion
Tag Team Champion
Women's Champion

And, I agree with only having ONE of each of those belts. With having HHH and John Cena both having a form of championship belt, they might as well rename them "RAW Champion" and "SmackDown Champion". It's so meaningless and boring to watch most of the matches that involve belt changes because it happens every week on TV.

But, hopefully with the draft coming up, the belts will all get unified again.

JBL Posts a Goodbye Blog to the Fans; Speaks on His WWE Future
by Nick Paglino
Apr 06, 2009

"JBL has posted the following goodbye blog which you can read in full if you click here.

"I had wanted to make it to WM 25 for years, and when injuries cut my career short the one regret I had was that I wouldn't make the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania," JBL wrote. "Well, I made it. I never dreamed after I retired the first time that my back would get better and I would be allowed to return to wrestling...

"I don't know what the future holds, never say never in life. But I have wrestled my last match. Months ago, I picked out this match. If Eddie Guerrero couldn't be here for it then my dear friend Rey [Mysterio] was the obvious choice, and I'm proud he was. I want to thank the WWE for a great career, for taking a chance on me and allowing me the keys to the car for a while. I will always represent the WWE wherever I go, I am proud of my 13 ½ years with the WWE. And, I am proud of the WWE for cleaning up a great sport to make it more healthy to everyone that is a part.

"However, I have no current plans on doing anything in the future on a professional level with WWE. I don't plan on doing commentary. In fact, it hasn't even been brought up to me. I don't plan on being an on air character. I plan on starting the next chapter in my life, and closing the door on this one."

Major Backstage Reaction & News From WrestleMania 25
by Matt Boone

"The general consensus among those backstage at WrestleMania
25 last night was that the show overall was a success. From the match quality and entertainment standpoint it was seen as good, and the company was clearly happy with the attendance and the live gate, which set records.

The feeling was the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels match was the show-stealer, as it was expected to be going in.

A lot were discussing how good Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat looked in his match against Chris Jericho with the other WWE legends.

One of the big topics was the Randy Orton vs. Triple H main event. Many felt the match came off bad in the ring and from a booking sense. Most were quick to point to the previous matches, especially HBK-Undertaker, as a hard act to follow which kind of brought the energy down with the live audience. Also the fact that it was well over three hours into the show."

Why in the hell would you not have Orton win the match? It's the biggest show of the year and Orton has been on fire in recent months. This would have put him over the top, in my opinion, but now it completely sets him back. The match felt rushed and then, he lost CLEAN! I have a feeling they are going to try and make it up very soon by having Hunter drop the title either tonight, next week, or the latest at the next PPV, but that's not enough. Blame whatever you want, but this was the weak point of the card to me when expectations were missed by a country mile.
Orton should have won damnit!

The reason they didn't have Orton win was probably so they could drag out the story line even farther. As soon as I heard that there was a stipulation that prevented HHH from getting DQ'd (or he'd lose the belt), I knew that they were going to let HHH win. That way, they can drag it out until No Mercy and put them in a NO DQ match of some sort.
