Bubba Ray Dudley Calls Into Tazz & Cole's Radio Show

Tazz and Cole took a call from "Bubba" on night two of their Sirius trial and no, it was not Bubba The Love Sponge but ... Bubba Ray Dudley. Bubba said anybody could be a ten time World champion if they married the boss' daughter.

He said his last name was "Dudley" and did not care if WWE legal heard him. Tazz commented that they were listening for sure to the show.

They talked for about ten minutes and kidded about Cole being on the "gas." Bubba asked if WWE started testing yet.

Bubba said there is something really good on TV on Saturday Nights on Spike and to check it out. Tazz then invited Bubba to call back "anytime" and to call again for their Sunday pre-Super Bowl Show.

Bubba said he has both XM and Sirius, but put over Sirius as the better of the two satellite radio providers. He congratulated Tazz and Cole on the show and hoped they get the gig full-time.

Tazz and Cole keep alluding to being on TV (Smackdown) at the same time they were on Sirius.

Plans are still in place for WWE to run a second ECW PPV on June 10 according to PWInsider, indicating that last year's show was not a "One Night Stand" after all.

Presently, WWE is trying to settle on a location for the event. As it stands, it will either be held again in New York's Hammerstein Ballroom or in Philadelphia, although not at the ECW Arena.

WWE is already in contact with Terry Funk about working the show. While Funk has yet to commit to the date, there have already been reports that WWE wants to base the promotion for the second event around Funk's appearance.

Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit have already pitched the idea of working against each other in an Eddie Guerrero Tribute bout at the show. Malenko was unavailable for last year's event but will certainly be there this year.

Tajiri is also expected to work the show.

Sources say that WWE will force outside talent to sign a stricter contract about working this year's show. WWE does not want another "Hardcore Homecoming" event trading on its hype for an ECW reunion.

whatever did happen to Tajiri. i was annoyed that the beniot and finely match ended in a DQ. i wanted to see them just tear each other apart. and why do people hate Cena so much. I actually think he has a great character. and I'll have to agree with Bubba Dudley about the only reason Triple H has been 10 time champ is because he's married to the bosses daughter. most of the matches I've seen with him winning is when he cheats.

Tajiri recently left the WWE, and is expected to return home and be a columnist, but there are reports of him wrestling elsewhere.

Cena, I hate his gimmic.

-- There are some people backstage who are upset at Triple H because he was pushing for Edge to lose the title to Cena at Royal Rumble to line himself up for a title match with Cena at WrestleMania. Many people thought that Edge was doing very well as champion and had managed to get himself over with the fans.

-- There are rumors going around that Edge may wrestle Mick Foley at WrestleMania.

-- Jim Ross has been sent another contract from WWE for when his current one expires this fall. There is no word on whether he has re-signed, or if he will.

Going back to Harley's post about enjoying wrestling too much, my friend and I have a habit of talking to each other in a Howard Fenkel voice: I just bough A NEEEEWWWW television set.
That was some funny stuff on the list. I actually did laugh out loud several times.

me and my mate always do a J.R. voice.
we'll be walking through the street and if we hear a sudden loud noise... car horn, door slam ect... we'll just shout "BAH GAWD, it's Kane"... i don't know why we say Kane

All I can say to this is I hope if he does re-sign,he's never aloud on the microphone again.Sorry but I find him annoying over the last about 6 years. He churns out all the same slogans every week match after match. In my book Stiles is doing a great job, keep him on the microphone.

As for HHH if you look back in the thread I've never said anything good about him.He only wrestles with 6 moves and one of them is a sledgehammer. He continues to come out the same old dribble everytime he's allowed a run at someone. As for been a 10 times world champ I say :ban:

PWInsider reports that the feeling backstage is that WWE should have saved the Kurt Angle/Undertaker angle at the end of Royal Rumble for an episode SmackDown. This way they could have put the actual Royal Rumble match as the main event, and edited the Undertaker bit to look better on TV for SmackDown.

Styles yes. Coach, Oh FUCK no! Give me Good 'Ole JR anyday over Jonathan Coachman. The guy is terrible and has all his lines fed to him. As for JR, I'll never get tired of his voice, his phrases, his look, or this saying:
"He has about as much chance as a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest.:fight:

Ditto I can't stand Coachman, he just has nothing going for him.

:(According to sources, Shawn Michaels often travels alone and no longer possesses a strong connection with the other wrestlers. Michaels also remains upset about the way he was treated during the booking for the match with Hogan.

Another career heading down the retirement path? Taker, Michaels. Some hard hits will be blown to the WWE with the loss of these 2, soon-to-be, WWE Hall of Famers(They're already legends IMO)

At least in the past when you knew some of the legends were coming to the end of their careers, you could always see some to the promising up and coming people that would take their place. Now you wonder who is going to be able to step it up and take over for them.

im excited for this tournament tomorrow night on raw to decide the number 1 contender for cena's title at wrestlemania, i have always liked when they do tournaments, i think triple h will pull it out(of course)

Speaking of tournaments, IMO, a tournament that needs to come back, King of the Ring. I always liked the anticipation that lead to that Pay Per View. Too bad they don't have it anymore.

I just wish they would switch up some of the names of the Pay Per Views. Like when they had, "Rock Bottom" and "St. Valentine's Day Masacre." Keep the ones that are significantly named(The Rumble, Mania, Summerslam, and another I can't remember) but they need to play around with the names. Of course wasn't there a wise man that once said, "What's in a name?"

How would you think John Cena would fare if they just decided to drop his gimmicky persona and not come up with a new one? He could just be a normal wrestler. The Undertaker seemed to do pretty good when he went through is "bad ass" period. Although for some people it doesn't seem to work as well, like Kane. I thought he was better when he didn't speak and wore the mask, and none of us have to be reminded of Mark Henry's old character. Somebody that I don't think it made a difference for was Mick Foley; I liked him either way. It's hard to tell, but I don't think it would hurt Cena. His character seemed like something that a lot of people liked at first but as time went on it just became more and more annoying. Perhaps instead of becoming a heel he could turn into somebody that is in between. Somebody that is ruthless and tries to win at all cost, but doesn't resort to cheesy things like having five of his friends sneak attack the opponent among other stuff.

Saviour Series - is the one your missing harley. The problem you have here is they replaced the King of the Ring with with the Great American Bash.I think they thought it sounded better, but the formats just the same as all the other PPV's.King of the Ring was different and I prefered it when they'ed have the whole thing on the PPV.Not like it became it later years where the only had the semi's and final on the PPV.

P.S
I know the Great American Bash was a WCW PPV.

In speaking of tournaments does anyone remember the name of the tournament in WCW where they took random wrestlers and made them be tag partners, then I think the surviving tag teams just went at it in a over the rope battle royal.

I think it was Wargames DB.I'm not sure as we never got any WCW PPV's here in Britain unless we bought the video.

That possibly could be it, I honestly don't remember much about it except it was a really good idea and it added an angle for more fued's if the team failed or if they picked two out of the lottery that hated each other. I always thought WCW had way better PPV's or at least more creative like the 3 story cage, the cage on the semi-truck as they drove down the highway, the Starcade fued with Japan vs. USA, the WWIII royal rumble match with the 2-3 or rings, things like that.
