Would you date a women who has a kid?

I'm sure its been covered, but I wasnt on here then.

The only issue would be the potential complications and problems if things got serious between you and the lady. Esp if the child is a boy, cos after a certain age simple male ego kicks in,and not being the father would surely cause resentment.

Opinions?

I've dated chicks with a kid or two. It's cute seeing an older boy call you a "mother-f**ker" and seeing his response when you say, "yeah, ask your mom". I'd never strike but I'd slap on some wrestling holds where they can't move and tell them that mom and I are dating.

I tried this a couple of years ago......she had two kids, and had been separated from Hubby for about a year. It was a disaster. He had treated her so badly that she was just thrilled to have someone paying attention to her, taking her out to dinners, movies, etc. My friends thought I was crazy, but she was really cute, and I figured what the hell, I will give it a shot and see what happens.

However, it was a nightmare. We couldn't go anywhere sometimes because she couldn't find a sitter, and forget about hanging out past ten o'clock.......had to get up early with the kids and everything. Eventually realized that I was just being used by her to raise her own self esteem, and found out later that she was back with her husband. Fuck it.

I would NOT recommend it to anyone, but then, your experience may be different than mine.

Yes it is different. I met a divorcee with two kids and ended up with a ready made family.I have enjoyed this life for many years now and now a great little grandson has appeared to put the icing on the cake.

I'm married but if I wasn't then I definitely consider staring a relationship with a woman who has a child.

I like kids anyway and if the woman really was my cup of tea then I wouldn't think twice.

I would also be very open to the idea of supporting that child, not just cos I like kids but because I aspire to both a traditional and socially responsible approach to family life and the benfits of having a man about the house - even if the child is a teenager or older.

id date a girl with a kid in a heartbeat. that stuff doesnt bother me whatsoever. not saying if it went somewhere serious that id b willin to adopt the child myself to make a family outta it tho. thats her child. theres alotta reasons to do it and not to, more than i care to type down here, but what it all boils down to is yes, because i would b datin the woman, not the woman and child. the kid might not like it, but hes gata deal with it cause if mama wants me around hes stuck.

You take the whole package or you end up with nothing.I don't regret taking on a family for a moment, the kids are now grown up and are great friends.
