I noticed that the "Americans are too fuckin stupid to understand it" option is no longer the most popular choice when you combine the "better sports to watch" with the "better shit to do" options.

Apparently MLS is fielding an All Star team to play Manchester United. That's going to end well.

That's a great idea. When Manchester pounds the shit out of them it will just prove what everyone already knows; how bad MLS really is. Good move.

Man U is a excellent squad but they wont embarrass the MLS all stars. Man U isnt fielding their first team and is missing many of their star players such as Rooney, Ferdinand and Vidic. Sir Alex has even said that out of all the games they will be playing on their North American tour the game against the MLS all stars will be the toughest. You're selling MLS short as they aren't as bad as you think.

You should watch Tottenham Hotspsur vs. SJ Earthquakes, should be a good game.

The MLS aren't THAT bad, but they're no Man U or Chelsea.

Agree. Ten years ago you could've said that MLS was shit but that isn't the case today. The league has grown tremendously since its inception and is a respectable league though it isnt on par with the top leagues like La Liga or the EPL.

So what your saying is MLS is gonna lose to MU's 2nd string but they won't get crushed. How is this a better scenario than getting destroyed by MU's first string?

I don't see the MLS all stars getting crushed if they lose. In fact, I can see them winning this game. Remember this an exhibition game so Man U isnt going to go all out, they are using these games as warm ups for the up coming season so they are going to be playing alot of different players to see what they have.

That's exactly what I'm saying. They're not going to get MU's best so if they win it doesn't mean anything and if they lose it means they stink. :dunno:

I wanna watch this game. Is it this coming Wednesday? Should be good.

But their "B" squad is pretty good, these aren't some bums lol. This is Man U, one of the top teams in the EPL, which is one of the top leagues in the world. They beat Celtic 3-1 on Friday with their "B squad.

This is what was said when the U.S. beat Spain in South Africa last year. The victory didn't mean anything.
...Friendlies usually don't matter.

The U.S. had a healthy Gooch and a healthy Charlie Davies when we beat Spain. Spain trotted out their A list for that game.

If Manure win or lose or if sp**s win or lose it is like the results from an NFL preseason game. Nobody but the coaching staff really gives a fuck who wins or loses. :dunno:

I would like to see an American Cup in the US with an MLS team and some big Euro teams similar to the Emirates Cup...

Spain fielded their "A" team for the Confederations Cup. As a matter of fact all the teams in the Confederations Cup fielded their "A" team because this was a very important tournament. It was important because playing in this tournament would help the teams get acclimated to the environment they would be playing in during the World Cup. It was also important because all the teams participating could have possibly played each other during the World Cup.

I don't see an upside in this. Its like T-Rock said its just an exhibition game. When you field an all star team your supposed to beat everyone with it but no one cares unless that team loses, then that all star team gets laughed at.
