Who Loathes the Other More: Brits or Americans?

I'm not an expert in soccer.
This is why most American's don't like soccer. It's the mean fans around the world that don't give you a chance to like the sport. If you get something wrong they attack you.
I always thought there was a mutual respect.

There are extremists on both sides. The militant soccer haters pretty much don't give the sport a chance. How many people (err Americans) came into a soccer threads and trashed the sport before the World Cup started?
If you truly like the sport based on this World Cup and the U.S.'s performance in it...than stick with it. ESPN has begun to show English Premier League games and Spanish La Liga games. Casually watch those. Like the NFL, NHL, Basketball, the more you watch, the more likely it will be that you will gravitate toward a specific team for your specific reasons and just become a fan. :dunno:
When the World Cup ends there will be European Championship qualifying this Fall. THe U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Argentina are not Continental Europe nations therefore we don't get into that. We have CONCACAF which is an acronym I have clue what it means....(wiki to the rescue).

One of my best friends in the "world" is British. He told me that most English don't hate us, they think that we don't live up to our potential. He said more but I can't remember, we were both drunk. That man can put away the Goose.
He's about 20 years older than me and was my boss for a couple of years at a company he helped get started here in upstate NY. He's been all over the world and did not want to leave this little town at all, but he couldn't get his visa renewed because the other assholes he was in with fucked him over(American and Icelandic).
