People enjoy using Hitler's name when describing someone they dislike. The Hitler Brand has been watered down from excessive use. But, who in history is actually worse than Hitler? Body Count isn't the only criteria here as truly evil intent goes a long way too.

Um, didn't Hitler do something similar? He was cruel to his enemies, raised Germany from ashes into a thriving country, but unlike Vlad, Hitler fought a war he couldn't win and is reviled by many today.

Yeah, but aren't all countries cruel to their enemies? Hitler is only reviled by supremacist douchebags and Vlad is actually still loved by his own country. Hell, even the Nazi swastika is banned in Germany. Vlad is still loved in Romania

Speaking of countries that are cruel, how about the good old USA? We damn near wiped out the Indians for no good reason. You really can't say we did that much to Russia after WWII. Both sides basically had a shouting match for 50 years.

Reviled was the wrong word to use on my part. Respect is a better word and I'm using that lightly. I'm not saying people should respect him for his killing of innocent people. I'm saying people, and not just the supremacists, but historians and the like respect him for bringing Germany out of a depression and giving the country life again. That's the aspect that I'm getting across. Even powerful people back in the 30's respected Hitler for how he brought Germany back. If he wouldn't have triggered WWII and the Holocaust, he probably would be ranked as one of the best leaders simply for his turning Germany into a great country again.

Has there ever been a film about the real Vlad The Impaler? Not talking about a documentary. If not and they made one, I wonder who would play him. The closest thing I've seen was Gary Oldman in the beginning of the Coppola film.
