What gives us the right to eat other creatures?

Animals have the right to be tasty and we as humans are exercising that right. Plus we have the guns that say we can.

How about this. We're are higher on the food chain. Natural selection gives us the right. We are smarter and therefore more capable of ****ing and eating other, less intelligent lifeforms.
It's not even about whether or not we have the "right" to eat other creatures. We just can if we want to. The same way a shark can eat a seal or a lion can eat an impala.
God doesn't give us the right to do anything. In fact, he doesn't do shit. God can't even exist unless humans choose to believe in him. Therefore, humans are higher than God. I guess that means we can eat him. Communion anyone?

We have the right, because we are living beings. The other creatures eat each other on a daily basis. Why should we be an exception?

i have "felt" plants emotions on more than one occasion, usually following the ingestion of magic mushrooms which opens the doors of perception and lifts the filters that our brains self-impose in order to orderly process the bombardment of stimuli we receive each second we are awake. plants can "feel" thirst, stress, hunger, joy at being alive (especially flowers which do not live for long) etc. there are more than a few people who can communicate with plants (i am not one of them). you should always treat plants with respect :wave2:
