What Are Your NFL Football Playoff Predictions?

I understand this is a song/chant, but do you even know about them and the T-formation?

Halas employed the T-formation with the Bears back in the day and the line in the song has to do something with the Bears beating the Redskins way back in the 40s I think

True, but the Eagles did beat them in 1960 for the Title....BEFORE the Packers of course went on to DOMINATE the ENTIRE decade of the 1960's! Ha ha ha! If memory serves me right......that was the only title game Lombardi ever lost as a head coach

Only playoff game, not just title game. He was 9-1. Packers are also the only team to win 3 in a row and they did it twice, although the first time is not always counted, since there was not a Championship Game in 1929-31.

The debut was in the 1940 Championship game and you are right, it was against the Redskins. The Bears won 73-0 in the most lopsided game, not just championship, ever. Most teams went to the T right after. Stubborn Redskins waited for several years with their heads in the sand. Reminds me of how they work now.

the redskins are idiots. nothings changed there

Hate to burst you bubble guys, but Green Bay has 12 titles

...and not a single one of those players or coaches is gonna take the field next week, so what'cha sayin'??? That doesn't give the Pack any edge. They did not play the Bears in any of those championships. In fact, the only other time GB has seen us in the playoffs resulted in a Packer loss. It's Bears vs. Packers we're talking, and since you wanna bring up history, talk about the all time record between the two.

Its Chicago leading 92–83–6. Whose bubble are you bursting?

Recently, yes. But they have 3 Championship wins and 3 Super Bowl wins for a total of 6. Twice as many as your Eagles and the same as JBS's Steelers.

hey, just because theyre idiots doesnt mean they havent been able to win a few games

I was actually bursting jitna and JBS's bubbles with Pennsylvania. I was not talking about the Bears / Packers rivalry at the time. And the Bears and the Packers could not play each other in any of those championship games. There was no playoff then. The best team from the East division played the best team from the West division. Green Bay and Chicago both were in the West.
The last I looked there are not too many 1985 Bears going to be taking the field either. Pretty sure no one from the 1963 team too. And for the all-time records, George Halas is not going to be coaching either.

Packer's are on a 4 game winning streak, beat the bears recently in week 16 & just took out the #1 team in the NFC in a blowout :D I'd say Packers have the edge :D

Wasn't it also their then owner, George Preston Marshall, who spearheaded the efforts to segregate the NFL (led to removal of black players in late '20s/early '30s)? Not too surprisingly the Redskins were the last team to integrate.....and that was only when Marshall was forced to do so.......in 1962......when most teams had integrated/re-integrated by the early 50s (ten years prior)! So what should we expect from them? Ha ha ha!

I agree that the Packers are the favorites, I just checked the line and they're favored by three points. I'm a Bears fan but you can't ignore the fact that no QB is playing better right now than Rodgers

Every team has had to go through bad times. The Redskins just seem to like in their time to last little longer than most. Okay, a lot.

Plus Daniel Snyder is a fucken idiot!!! He has done the same bang up job with Redskins that he has done with Six Flags......oh yeah, they filed for bankruptcy! Ha ha ha!

the fact that theyre still called the redskins says it all. whereas names like chiefs, braves, and indians, one could say are honorable, even respectable names. redskins is just straight up racist. not to mention that another team in that state changed their name from the unpleasant, yet unfortunately appropriate, bullets to the just stupid Wizards. youd think theyd have the good graces to go to something less horrible.

i wont even start to go into the whole donovan mcnabb nonsense

No. George Preston Marshall was the owner of the Redskins going back to 1932 when they were founded. But Black players were out by the late 1920's. He did make his team be the last to integrate though. The first pro football players to break segregation was not in the NFL at all. The Cleveland Browns started in the AAFC in 1946 with Black players.
George Preston Marshall kept his team all white until 1962. The NFL told him to integrate. He told the Commissioner at the time Pete Rozell he would if he could get the player he wanted. The player he wanted was Bobby Mitchell who was on the Cleveland Browns at the time. The NFL made the Browns trade Bobby Mitchell to the Redskins for their first round pick that was used for the guy the movie "The Express" was about, Ernie Davis.

Its gonna be a good one, thats for sure! Bears looked better today than all year, plus both teams love the cold. Here's to the NFC North dominating :) :glugglug:

I believe you are correct & I misspoke. What I really meant was that, following consolidation of teams (through kicking lesser teams out), the talent pool was smaller, and black players were the 1st to go in the late 20s (with a few lingering until the early 30s I believe). When the League started admitting new teams....it was Marshall who essentially spearheaded the efforts to keep the League segregated.
