England lost again!

When are we asa footballing nation going to learn that like the rest of the world we have to adapt to the modern game. The way we play has got to change!

Pass the ball use our Pace, sitting back for the whole game waiting, hoping for a moment of magic just doesn't cut it at this level.

Oh well at least we are consistent, Lost on Penalties again!

England are playing modern football, there just awfully bad at it. There are different types of modern football, the beautiful football that Spain play, then there's the technical football that the German's play, and lastly the counter attacking football that Portugal play. Each a different style but each as effective, England just need to find the style that suits them and play to it. Personally I think with the players we have coming through that counter attacking football would be a very good choice for us.

But people have to understand that you need to have luck as well, you need all of your players to have experience, leadership, calmness, and to play for each other as a team. Every team is beatable, every team has weaknesses. Spain try to walk to ball into the net every time rather then crossing it which sometimes they should, defensively they are very weak ( which is why against a counter attacking team like Portugal I think they will struggle, especially with Ronaldo in their side). Portugal's weakness is they try to score just 1 or 2 goals and hope to keep a clean sheet, whereas Germany proved that if you do that and concede late like they did, it doesn't leave long to find a goal.

And finally with Germany, defensively they are weak (remember how easily Greece scored against them), the truth is no matter how good you are your going to have to accept your going to lose sometimes. Remember as good as Germany are they haven't won a tournament since '96, or how about Brazil, or Argentina?.

England just need to find there style, and try to perfect it, just like Germany, Spain, and Portugal. And with the manager we have, and the players we have now and coming through I really think we can do it.

They just need to play like in the 1st. 45 min, ....they were really *biting* ...you found your style, just use it . :):):D

England were very poor last night, we are not in the same league as the likes of Germany but Italy are nothing special with Pirlo being the only exceptional player in the team, and only if given time on the ball like we gave him. Most English 1st teamers would command transfer fees of £15m - £25m whilst their Italian counterparts are valued at under half of that yet they completely outplayed us, the simple truth is our players are overpaid and overated and don't have the technical ability possessed by many of the other players throughout Europe.

Is somewhere outhere.
Tonights game was a dull affair in my opinion, and I hope tommorrows game will be much better.Poland/Ukraine have
nice stadiums, but it's just a shame the crowds don't make a better atmosphere.

God knows what the tournaments will be like in Russia & Qatar

It was a very poor match considering the sides and the players they have. I think tomorrow's match will be a lot better, expecting Germany to win in normal time. What I don't understand is why the hell Ronaldo didn't take a penalty earlier instead of sending up defenders to take them? That was just baffling for me.

Soooo watch out you Spaghetti´s , the Kraut´s are coming in 1 1/2 hr ...lol :D:D:angels:

...the party ain´t over until the fat ol lady start´s to sing ...
Will hopefully be a nice match to view .. ( hard but fair. )

That game was sold. Referee stole 5 minutes of german teams time. Plus some other fishy decisions.

Italy was really doing great, but that stank.

No wonder the italian teams keep being in scandals about smearing and bribing refs and so on.

Interestingly enough, again, Buffon in the mddle of it.

I do NOT think that this game was sold.

We had a lot more chances, but we did NOT use them. So CONGRATULATIONS + WELL DONE to ITALY !:):)

Well I never saw that coming, but that's football. I don't think Germany created that many clear cut chances. But their defending was awful, the 2 goals they conceded was school boy defending, Something you don't expect for the Germans.

I'm beginning to think they have a problem winning semi finals, because they played so poorly against Italy they looked like they caved under the pressure. The same thing happened two years ago at the world cup with Spain, they looked like they where caught in the headlights and played poorly there too.

Still well done Italy they played well, took there chances and deserved the win. I'm not sure about the final, Spain are struggling to score goals and if Italy can crate a few changes they may be able to pinch it, but I expect Spain to win the battle in midfield so I don't think Pirlo will get the space he has in the last couple of matches. I think it will be close, but either way should be a good match.
