My favorite part about the whole situation was that, before she quit, she attempted to demand the station to prohibit Howard Stern from saying anything about her on the air.
--which would go completely against the 1st ammendment that she preached the night before on Larry King Live.
I guess she only believes in her own freedom of speech, not that of others.
Of course the station basically told her to screw herself.

I never liked her. She was always so condescending. Even her "apology" on King's show was so disingenuous that even I, a white person, was offended.
The word "bitch" is thrown around so haphazardly these days, but she is truely a big, rotting bag of bitch.

Dr. Laura may be have a horrible personality, but her advice is usually very good. 90% of the young women in this country, and around the world for that matter, could benefit greatly from listening to what she has to say.

Dr. Laura just needs to spend about 6 months reading and studying the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People", by Dale Carnegie. She needs to learn that even though you are giving good advice, it won't be received very well if you are acting like a royal biotch while you are dispensing it.

I made an error with my last comment. She made her announcement, on Larry King's show, that she quit.
But during that show, and before that, on her show, she went on about freedom of speech, just to turn around and demand Stern be silenced from speaking about her.

Why? If some Black people can use it in a friendly way, why should it be abandoned? It seems to be trendy for girls and women to call their female friends "bitches" too. There's a big difference between that and some guy calling a woman a bitch either in anger or objectification.

I kind of wish we'd all grow up a little and understand the magnificent world of context. Instead we have this juvenile reaction where we all collectively gasp when anybody who isn't Black says "******" even if it just to address the word. But people don't get "in trouble" for that. They get "in trouble" when they try to act cute or dismissive and use the word as if they are getting away with something; like "Dr" Laura did.

It's so weird to me. AIDS is an absolutely horrible disease, but we don't call it the "A-disease" because it's so awful. We don't call the bombing of Hiroshima the "H-bombing". Why? Because there's nothing inherently bad or offensive about saying those things in the right context. It all reminds me of kids saying that "pee pee" when they're talking about pissing or their dick. We're not child and we should really stop acting like we are.
