CONFIRMED: The Von Erichs to Wrestle at Slammiversary!

The Von Erichs, Ross and Marshall, are teasing on their official Facebook account that they will be wrestling at this year's Slammiversary. It looks like they've posted their entire itinerary for the weekend in Dallas so it appears that this could be legit. For those who aren't familiar, the Von Erichs were a pro wrestling family, dating back to the 60's, that was very well respected by fans. I believe Ross and Marshall are Kevin Von Erich's boys and first cousins of Lacey Von Erich, formerly of the Beautiful People. We will continue to monitor this story and hopefully, we will have some sort of confirmation from TNA soon. Kudos to TNAMecca supporter Alfred Brickrock for the heads up. More to come...

UPDATE: TNA has just confirmed on their official site that the Von Erichs will indeed wrestle at Slammiversary on June 15th and their father Kevin Von Erich will be in their corner. This is fantastic news.

Key word, house show, that is all.

Nice fail.

McMahon to lose $842 million in net worth since Wrestlemania 30.

If you want to talk sad. Not that the Obama economy helped.

Are you a complete fucking moron? They drew 74 fans to that house show in a small town that WWE never run. More wrestling fans there with very little in the way of choice would rather go and see their local fed than the alleged "number 2 promotion in America." Furthermore with that few people attending the house shows, they very quickly become a money-losing venture where the gate receipts don't cover the costs of paying the talent and renting the building. House shows are meant to be an extra revenue stream via ticket sales and extra merchandise takings, but it doesn't work that way when NO FUCKER COMES.

Either you can't see the implications of house shows this sparsely attended, which means I gave you far too much credit - since I assumed that because you posted a lot in the threads about wrestling that you might actually know something about it - and actually, you're a complete numbskull, OR, you're just the lame troll everyone else has been saying you are since the day I signed up, and I should never have given you the benefit of doubt. Either way, more fool me.

Either way, I'm done with you. Troll or idiot, you don't deserve the attention from anyone with an iota of sense. Enjoy posting smileys.

TNA outdoor event Link

Comment from the site:
This doesn't really make much of a difference to TNA's bottom line, since TNA were getting a flat fee from the stadium authorities regardless of the attendance and the stadium pays for promotion of the event and collect the gate receipts, which means if anything it was the stadium that would've incurred a loss (if the event indeed incurred a loss).

Will, I'm not even joking here, serious question - I'm impressed you're still interested in TNA - how do you do it??

I like wrestling.

That would be my reason also. Nothing special or even really great about TNA. I am a lifelong fan of pro wrestling and need more of a fix than what WWE and my vintage wrestling DVDs bring. I tolerate and find some enjoyment out of Impact.

Trying to get AJ to take a cut in pay is insulting considering he's been there since day one and always promoted the place. He came up to me at a PWG show once and thanked me for wearing a TNA shirt. I was surprised at the gesture but it made him seem like a good, loyal employee that has more class than the actual promotion. Come to think of it I haven't been to a PWG show for a long time. Good local indy promotion out here.

Piggybacking on the last post. Watched Impact last night. Passed the time but was not memorable. No interest in the PPV perfectly willing to find the results on the wrestling boards. I wonder how quick the ship is sinking. I watched WCW until their last pathetic days and will probably do the same with TNA. Have to admit I'm doped to the gills while watching. A spider crawling on a wall might take my attention away if there were some psychology I could get behind.

If TNA was really going out of business, this agency would not have agreed to work with them, and TNA wouldn't have had the money to hire them.

Those who hate TNA are wrong once again.

Rhino Returns

TNA announced today that Tommy Dreamer and Rhino will be appearing at the impact tapings in New York City. The return of Rhino is surprising as it's been several years since he left TNA. However, during a recent House of Hardcore show, Rhino sided with TNA so that could've been a sign that he was soon returning to the company. It's good to see Rhino back as he's one of the few former ECW wrestlers who can still work a match against the younger TNA stars. TNA did not specify if this will be a short stint or part of a longer stay. TNA also announced that Tommy Dreamer will be making an appearance at the NYC tapings as well.

I'd rather see the belt on Rhino than Bobby Lashley. MVP's knee injury sure caused an awkward change of plans. MVP is good on the mic but Lashley can't put a complete sentence together.

Too bad you can't build a time machine to put the 1999 version of Mike Awesome into 2014 TNA. For a big guy that didn't look like he had both oars in the water he had incredible balance. Florida boy that woulda fit in good there. His cheesy goofiness mighta got over especially if he grew the mullet back. Maybe even a little Fat Chick Thriller mixed in for the bulbous rats who sit ringside.
