TNA Signs Two New Wrestlers


TNA has reportedly signed Santana Garrrett to their roster. Garrrett is an independent talent out of Florida.

The company is also either finalizing a deal or has just signed Extreme Tiger. He worked a few matches for TNA Xplosion a few months ago.

Plans For TNA & Wrestle-1

For those wondering, TNA and Wrestle-1 have plans to run more joint events together.

As of now, the only confirmed show between the two companies is the One Night Only: Outbreak pay-per-view taping. The show will be taped on March 2nd, 2014.

Three Matches Announced For TNA/Wrestle-1 PPV Taping

Wrestle-1 in Japan announced the following matches for the upcoming TNA One Night Only PPV taping set for March 2. The event will air live in Japan and will be aired later in the year as a One Night Only PPV event.

* TNA champion Magnus vs. Kai

* TNA Tag Team champions The Bromans vs. Shuji Kondo & Kaz Hayashi.

* TNA X-Division champion Austin Aries vs. Seiya Sanada

Kai won a four-man tournament to earn his shot against Magnus. Kondo and Hayashi won a number one contenders tag team match to earn their tag title shot. Sanada won a 20-man battle royal to earn his X-Division title shot.

B]Former X-Division Champion Returning To TV[/B]

Former X-Division Champion TJ Perkins (Manik) is set to return at next week’s TNA live event in Columbia, South Carolina. Perkins has not been on TNA TV since late October, early November.

No word at this time on when he will be returning to TNA TV.

It should also be noted that Kenny King will be returning to TNA shortly as well.

TNA Confirms Sting Is Gone From The Company

Reader Ritchie Cates reached out to TNA asking whether or not Sting would be at this year’s Lockdown event as he was buying tickets for the pay-per-view. TNA issued the following response…

Hi Ritch:

Sting is not scheduled to appear at Lockdown 2014 PPV or Fan InterAction, unfortunately Sting is no longer with the company so therefore we have no booked appearances for him at any events in the future, Sorry about that.

Angelian Love Returns to TNA.

According to ProWrestling.net, the former TNA Knockouts Champion that will be making her return to Impact Wrestling tonight is Angelina Love.

Earlier today we reported that an unknown former champion would be making their return to tonight's live edition of Impact in Orlando, Florida, speculating on a range of former champs that could be making a special appearance.

Love is a former 5-time Knockouts Champion, and was at one time one of the most recognizable women's wrestlers in the world. She was a part of the infamous Beautiful People faction that existed between 2007 and 2011, alongside Velvet Sky. The current Knockouts Champion, Madison Rayne, joined the group in 2008. Recently, Madison and Velvet have been working together as the top babyfaces in the women's division, which could lead to some sort of reunion or angle with the Beautiful People tonight on Impact.

I liked them best as annoying antagonistic heels but today I think the fans would cheer them either way in combination of respect for Sky's tenure with the company, nostalgia, and appreciation of Velvet's arse.


I read today that Daniels and Kazarian might be done. That would suck. The list of talents I give a shit about watching in TNA feels like it's dwindling away. And they brought in MVP, ugh.

I think The Beautiful People helped lead a resurgence in women's wrestling. It was one of the only reasons I used to watch TNA. I mean, even the WWE tried to copy them with LayCool.

Two Title Changes At The TNA Sacrifice Pay-Per-View


– As seen at Sunday night’s TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view, The Wolves defeated DJ Z & The Bro Mans in the opening match to win the TNA tag-team championships. Davey Richards hit a double foot stomp off the top rope to pick up the win in a really good match. This marks “The Wolves” second reign as tag-team champions as their first reign only lasted seven days.

– In another title change on the show, Velvet Sky used a bottle of hair spray to allow Angelina Love to win the TNA Knockouts championship from Madison Rayne. This marks Love’s sixth reign as TNA Knockouts champion. That is a record for the company.

Yeah, they were/are. Music hits, they come out, segment is enjoyable, show goes on. Not sure whether it's "midcard" or "fluff" you object to, but you won't tell me they were an integral part of the show or the thing everyone's talking about at the end. They were/are great where they belong, which is the midcard, and are/were fun without being too important. Fluff. Enjoyable midcard fluff.

Imagine that, a storyline, angle or gimmick that is so fresh and interesting that WWE actually copies TNA. That's happened.... once?? I think resurgence is a bit much, there has been no time since 2001 that the WWF/E hasn't presented womens wrestling (and had two titles on the go for a while) but The Beautiful People were definitely an act that proved ladies can be over like Rover and not just be the pissbreak segment or JUST wank fodder.

I don't see what either of your sentences has to do with me being "100% wrong." I said they were good contributers to the midcard, very over, and every version since (i.e. versions without Angelina and with Madison and/or Lacey) was weaker. I said I preferred them as bitches but can see reasons why fans would cheer for them also. Please explain what I'm so wrong about.

In theory the WWE would do well with the Beautiful People if their marketing machine saw "bankable commodity" on them. But then, they had Tessmacher once and did fuck all with her, and that ass should have sold millions of t-shirts, magazines, calendars etc, the way they got behind Keibler/Torrie/Trish etc.

They haven't got any money. Dixie's parents finally woke up, tightened the purse strings and sent her to bed without supper. The reason they've lost certain guys, including Styles, is because at the end of their deals they asked them to take pay cuts to stay contracted, and got told to fuck themselves.
