As I said before, I'm kinda busy tonight, so we'll have to carry on this debate tomorrow, but

In 2000 the U.S. census report 729,533 people self identified as Cherokee Indian, more than twice the population of the second most populous American Indian group, the Navajo people, who numbered 298,197. This figure is also more than twice the population of current estimates of all three federally recognized tribes combined.

Self IDs particularly with wannabe Cherokee are not really reliable for many reasons, most of wich I wall cover tomorrow.

Or part Cherokee. Does the census address "part" status, as I am part Algonquin.

Interesting thread about Native Americans. The natives of Borneo island, Southeast Asia are similar to the Natives of North America and South America (Amazon). I am a Native of Borneo island called - Dayak (former head hunters). We were colonised by the British, similarly the British colonised North America (USA and Canada).

The Maori of New Zealand and the Aborigine of Australia were also colonized by the British and are similar to your tribe and the tribes of the Americas. I highly recommend you watch a movie called "Once Were Warriors" if you haven't watched it yet

That's great that you know your indigenous cultural heritage and don't ever be ashamed of your tribal ancestors.

As BI said, no Chief Joseph? :wtf: What about Ten Bears and Cochise too? Like any such list, totally subjective.

Wow! Talk about eye opening! The fact that they could hunt animals like dears, bears, wolves, and bunnies at that size is just simply incredible!

My hats, no... my feathers are off to those courageous Indians! Just good thing they got some white man's blood in them so they could grow to normal human size. :hatsoff:
