I expect the giants to rest Brandon but not anybody else. Arizona i see is repeating Tampa's mistake from last year of clinching to early and the players not giving a damm so when the playoffs start they will be 1 and done

eli is going to play a half at most

no, Arizona is just not good enough and thats why theyre on their way to an early exit, not because theyre resting their guys

I would love to see this tomorrow

Postgame Interview--Brett Favre: (sniffles and tears) I'm sorry, New York. (Sniff sniff). [Reaches into pocket for kleenex. Blows nose. Clings to soggy kleenex.] I guess it's time for me to hang it up. I am retiring.

Spoiler Teams!!!

THIS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR!
so many teams are in a postion this week to spoil the play-off hopes for the lucky theams that are still playing to win a play-off. Tomorrow is what it all comes down to.

I don't know, teams just don't seem hungry enough, they have their nose in other things. A less fortunate team needs a chance to win it all. They should get that chance if they actually go down the right path. It's all about the bench, I'll say it again, tell everyone that it's all about bringing people off the bench. Nobody should get paid to sit there. That's whats wrong with the NFL, rubbernecking.

I don't know. Do you think anybody will fall for that after about five or six years of Favre pulling his retirement drama. :1orglaugh

No fancies, just predictions:
Denver at San Diego--Both teams wore their flipflops all year, but Rivers and Co. are peaking at the right time. Fallen RBs for Denver=Lotsa passing, but the Broncs have been outscored in Qualcomm 72-23 in their last two games there. Cutler can't do it all. And he won't.
Chicago at Houston--Yeah, yeah...the Texans are the "Feel Good Story" of the season. So what. You know what's dangerous? A big, desperate animal. Especially if it's a Bear. Lovie has put together a team that wins when it must. The team closed out the season with three straight wins to get into playoff position. They win and they still need the Giants to beat Minnesota. If they lose it won't matter.
Tennessee at Indianapolis--A "Who Gives A Shit" match-up if ever there was one. Neither team needs to win. Both teams have locked in, with the Titans having home field throughout and the Colts owning every tie-breaker for home field except for Tenn. I go with the homies and their second team.
New York at Minnesota--the Vikes have become my adoptive favorite team since the Lions suck. I love the fact that they haven't changed their unies in 200 years. I love the fact that Manning hates to play the Vikings. I love it when Childress makes dumb decisions. I don't care what Coughlin says, it's wire time and he'd better think about healing the sick. I'm just worried about Tarvaris. He looked a little shaky against the Birds. Maybe Booty's the answer?
Carolina at New Orleans--If I was as handsome as Drew Brees I could get lots of chicks, too. Problem is, looks won't get him the 402 passing yards he needs to break Marino's record. Anyway, he may not get that many passes in, since the Cats have significant injuries in their run defense positions and will likely see more rushing. Plus Carolina likes to hold the ball. Win and the division and bye is theirs. On the other hand, what's New Orleans got to lose? Sean Payton might just say "Bombs Away!"
Miami at New York Jets--The AFC East is the saddest division in football. I mean tear-swelling, heartbroken sadness. All the Fins have to do is win. Period. They have the tie-breaker against NE and so does Baltimore. Both of the latter teams will win today. NE had a good year thanks to Cassel. But they are going to miss the dance. Pennington is peaking and Favre is--well, getting old. Plus the Jets' D has been an F.
Dallas at Philadelphia--You know what? Dallas has a helluva time against good pressuring defenses. Look at their schedule and scores. Phily D ranks third overall. Of course, the Eagles are no better against tough Ds. Plus they got swept by the Skins. And injuries to skill players after being bludgeoned in the hardest-hitting division in football won't aid their efforts against the Cowboy D-Line. Anyway...it's sink or swim for the Boys. And Jerry is still pissed.

The Steelers over the Ravens 24 13

The Vikings over the Bucs
and the Cardnials over the Panthers
The Vikings over the Falcons
The Giants over the Panthers

Not a disgrace. It is the rules. Live it, learn it, love it.

Wait... What is your idea? The top teams get in? Dream land awaits you. :1orglaugh

i belive the lions have a chance because greenbays defense is missing so many players and many others are mailing it in. hell the lions even get a break as the tempayure at game time will be in the balmy for december 20 degree range

just remember those 8-8 finishers will draw a first place schedule next year and like cleveland this year we will see how lucky they truly where

It is a disgrace for a multi-billion dollar sport to decide the playoffs in such an assinine manner. The Division arrangement is a quaint, useless relic from a bygone era. Fans are spread out nationwide now. Most "rivalries" would still occur even if we torpedo'd the division setup. There are only a few meaningful rivalries in the NFL today.

It would be a better postseason and Super Bowl if the playoffs only had the best of the best teams making it. Every year there are "poor Jimmy" teams like this year's San Diego/Denver winner, Arizona, Dallas...
