Dallas is an embarrassment. T.O. is a fucking JAKE! The 'Boys better dump TO and Romo and splash MAD CASH at Cassel and Chad Johnson in the offseason.

I am torn between rooting for the Fish (at the expense of the Patriots?) or rooting for the NY Bretts to win so that the Pats can get in??

There's a report on ESPN saying Bill Parcells has an out clause in his contract if the present Fish Owner Wayne Huizenga (himself a douchebag) sells the team in Jan '09, which the owner intends to do. Parcells has a pretty cool gig goin' I must say. He goes into a team, cleans house, drafts players, turns it around and leaves them before they win anything....why would he bail Miami? I guess if the new owner doesn't want to invest money in the team...but then why buy an NFL team if you don't plan to win?

Not as if I'm a Saints fan, but is anyone else a little miffed at the playcall at the end of that game? Brees needs only 16 yards to take the record away from that loser Dan "I need anger management (and a brain)" Marino. He had the entire middle of the field open in the soft and squishy 20-30 yard range, yet he slings one down field to what.. try to win a meaningless game?

The Broncos of '88 also went 11-5 and didn't make the playoffs. Don't know which was a better team, but it sucks. The system just doesn't work!!!

Even though I'm pissed because they didn't make it in, they played their asses off without a bunch of key players. Obviously Brady was the biggest loss, but they also lost their starting running back, strong safety, and linebacker. A bunch of key injuries. I though Cassel was going to be the reason they didn't make the playoffs, but he wasn't. He was easily in the top 7 QBs in the league. He's going to get paid next year and I hope he does well now that people expect him to perform well. It sucks that the Chargers are going in with an 8-8 record, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I can't believe that the Patriots missed the playoffs to the DOLPHINS of all teams. Oh well, once Brady went down I assumed that they wouldn't even come close to the playoffs so it is alright.

The Playoff system is broken. It needs to be fixed. No bullshit teams should ever make it in. Ridiculous.

Yeah,I've been saying something to that effect for years now.I personally am not a fan of teams having a bye in the first round.If you are really that good of a team,you should be able to run the gauntlet like the other teams that have to play in the first round.And further more,it seem that lately teams don't really benefit from having a first round bye.

All too often the teams with great regular season records lose in the first round because their players usually have rested for almost 2 weeks,while their opponent had to scratch and claw just to make it in,and now they seem to be hungrier.Two perfect examples are the Giant from last year and the Steelers from a few years ago.

i heard a report on ESPN that Brady's knee is way behind schedule and its possible he misses next year too....Matt Cassel will be laughing all the way to the bank come March....whether its the Patriots who resign/franchise him, or he goes elsewhere

I can't imagine he would stay with the Patriots next year regardless. He is going to be given a few multi-year contract offers most likely. He would be insane to pass up on a deal if he could become a starting quarterback.
