Anyways, instead of divisions in the NFL, they should just have one ranking, best record to worst. You can still have your divisional matchups, but instead of a shitty arizona/denver team getting into the playoffs, you would have atlanta/new england/philadelphia in the playoffs.

Unless each team plays all the others in the conference even that has some problems. It would be rewarding teams that play a light schedule even more than normal.

okay, since you think that is a good idea, why is my idea not such a good idea. Logically, that would not ever happen. You can't just say shit, there has to be some meaning behind it. It has to be thought out first. Next season will definitely be a turn around. It doesn't surprise me of what has happened so far. Talk about something new? there's nothing to talk about. Phillie gonna tear that ass just like Chicago doing now. haha

You have some of the stupidest posts I've ever read. The National Champ in college football would beat any team in the CFL. Stop talkin about movies and mystery alaska.

but then the games down the stretch wouldnt be nearly as fun

because then we would have

Tennessee 13-2
Pittsburgh 11-4
Indianapolis 11-4
Miami 10-5
New England 10-5
Baltimore 10-5

with the Jets 9-6 fighting for a spot MAYBE...leaving denver no shot

and

Giants 13-2
Carolina 11-4
Atlanta 10-5
Dallas 9-6
Tampa Bay 9-6
Minnesota 9-6

with Philly and MAYBE Chicago fighting for a playoff spot....leaving arizona virtually no shot

i know thats youre argument....but with your system....only 2 games have any meaning (Miami v New York and Dallas v Philly)...thatd be a boring week 17

Chef--geez. Your Bears O -- s T i n K s ....P.U.!

I think Matt Cassel would look pretty good in that Chicago Black jersey...maybe throwing to Chad Johnson?

I think the First-round BYE is also kind of lame. Home field advantage is enough of a reward for finishing first and second.

Simply put--the current system rewards mediocrity at the expense of competition. The winner of San Diego/Denver has no business being in the playoffs. Arizona is a shit team from a shit division. In a single table arrangement, none of these teams would make it in the playoffs this season. Every season there are teams that are rewarded with playoff births when they don't have the records to warrant it. It's just because they are in a weak Division.

And how many of those teams win it all? Does it really matter that one or two undeserving teams make it to the playoffs?

wow the bears win and stay alive in the playoff hunt. now the vikings are worried they close with the giants and the bears get the texans. might be the bears in the playoffs

giants have the number 1 seed, they can rest their players...vikings get in

Tom Coughlin will not allow 2 weeks off for his guys
except for banged up guys like Brandon Jacobs

look how the 2 weeks off method has worked in the past....not well

Hi, greetings from mexico, i´m a huge colts fan

what do u think of them? Will they be good enough in the playoffs?

I think it will be NY Giants versus Tennessee....with Tennessee winning everything.

Tennessee looks tough, but never count out BIG BLUE,don't forget last year.:D

And Coughlin will play everyone last game trying to create more positive momentum and a win against the Vikings. They get bye week to rest.

Cowboys vs Steelers in the Superbowl with Cowboys winning 28 - 17.

Texans can easily knock out the bears, can they do it? I dont know but they definetly have the ability to.

I dont see Coughlin playing starters the entire game but at least the first half maybe even the third quarter. Dont expect to see Brandon Jacobs though. If he dosent get many or any touches we have all seen what the Giants can do...which is absolutely nothing. Winnable game for the Vikings.

I think it will be the 2 best teams, and those are the two best teams I've seen this season. Yeah they both had a couple crappy games...but all in all...these two are the best. Pittsburgh's offense stinks. They aren't going to have much of a running game for the playoffs and they can't go anywhere without a running game.

I wonder if Atlanta can keep it going? Generally...young QBs flop in the playoffs because defenses just get better in the playoffs. So it should be interesting to see if Matt Cassel and Matt Ryan can continue to play well.....

Not wait a minute, your talking about the quaterback. Thats their most important asset. Teams need to put more of there bench on the line. That's the only way they will be more successful in the offseason. They have to have trust. Without trust, they won't make it past the wildcard race. People get fed up with riding the bench thats why there is so many free agents. Everything else is inconsiderateable and selfish.

I expect the giants to rest Brandon but not anybody else. Arizona i see is repeating Tampa's mistake from last year of clinching to early and the players not giving a damm so when the playoffs start they will be 1 and done
