what a shitty performance by Dallas!!!

what´s the matter with these guys???? they have a hell of a team, tony romo is great, he just need to grow up a little more!!!

to had a great season, but he didn´t receive the ball that much!!!

the big prob was de D-fence!!!!

i knew they were not to make it to the play-offs

boy wouldnt a dolphins/falcons superbowl be fun

I am rooting for the Eagles over the Vikings, but I hope Carolina makes it the the Super Bowl. The AFC. . . I'd like to see the Ravens.

Now to vent. . . . FUCKING STUPID BEARS!

They need a REAL QB. Orton is a solid backup, not a franchise player!

How about a freakin number one RECIEVER?!?! I like the idea of Hester, and if he keeps progressing, he'll be fun to watch, but at best he is a three, maybe a two sometime next season if he continues to learn. I like Olsen, but a TE should not be you biggest passing threat!

Is anone sick of Urlacher yet?! besides his lack of personality,(maybe its on foxsports.net?!) he is CONSTANTLY swallowed up by any single blocker. Get rid of him! or at least change his position.

With Mike Brown most likely done in Chicago, the Bears REALLY need help at BOTH Saftey spots. If urlacher hasn't lost a step, how about considering a move back to his old college position? If he's out in space, maybe he can be a force again?! Otherwise, I don't know where to find the solution here, but its not on the current roster!

OK. much better.

Indy and the Giants are my picks...

If the Giants still had Burress, I might tend to agree but I really think it will be San Diego and Philly. Chargers are gelling at the perfect time and LT looks like he's still got a little left in the tank after yesterday's performance. Rivers is way underrated.

I think in the AFC the Colts even though only a wild card with no byes and all road games are the team to beat although i'm sure Tennessee will do their best to say something about that. And San Diego is hot but probably not hot enough to beat the Colts who are sizzling hot.
In the NFC I am a Giants fan so am biased but think besides them the Eagles are the toughest looking team.
Poor Dallas, but like many I have found them the most arrogant bunch for years so am loving their problems. But they really do need to clean house ,but the owner is a problem that maybe can't be fixed. How many coaches has he been through? He needs a strong coach that he gives a free hand too.It was hilarious during the game with philly when the head coach sent the punt team on and Romo sent them back.Who the heck is in charge down there, the QB? You would never see Coughlin (the Giants coach let Eli do that).
Oh and I think the firing of the Jets head coach Mangini was bad move ,they had decent season and were riding high a few weeks ago.

Traditionally...the teams coming into the playoffs hot are the ones who have the best chance to get to the super bowl

That would be...

AFC - Colts, Chargers, Dolphins and Ravens
NFC - Panthers, Falcons, and Eagles

just sayin...

Congrats to Mike Singletary on his new 4 year career as Head Coach of the SF 49ers.
I've always though very highly of Mr. Singletary. :D particularly his eyes on the line of scrimmage lol !

Yes I agree. Singletary's hard-nosed attitude that he showed for so many years on the field for the Bears should translate well to his coaching ability. I always thought he'd be an excellent choice and the 'niners seem to be a team on the rise.

I can understand your frustration but I fully expected the Texans to win the game yesterday. Their offense is among the best in the NFL and with the addition of some better help in the secondary next season, you better watch out for this team in 2009.

I agree....Bears need more offense and have for a number of years.

Hmmm. Is it safe to say that Bill Belichick is the SUPREME MASTER AND COMMANDER of the NFL? All 3 of this "high profile" assistants from the Super Bowl glory years have been canned or, in Charlie Weis's case, or will be canned next season.

The Supreme Master keeps rolling...and rolling...and rolling...

The Jets better sweep Brett Farce out of the organization after the Pro Bowl. Isn't it a fucking disgrace that he's going to the Pro Bowl this season! Haha. I guess tossing 22 INTs and leading your team on another end of season collapse merits the Pro Bowl...haha.

Will Mike The Rat Shanahan be the next one fired?

Will Herm Edwards get canned in KC?

Will Jack Del Rio get the "we wish him well in his future endeavors" memo from the Jags?

I think today's firings are just the beginning. The economic meltdown seems to be giving NFL owners quick triggers. I guess owners view a new coaching hire as a way to "sell tickets" and goose fan excitement?

I think it's a great contract even though Sing doesn't have any HC experience outside of this season. He's going to be a fine coach for many years to come because he can get the most out of players and they will fight for him on the field. He may not be a genius like Belichick but his team will always compete no matter who they face.

its not so much just that they lost, just tired of seeing them get beat without any noticeable gameplan to fix any of their past problems! how many times will you let one guy decimate your defense? how many times will you give up the slant for an 8-12 yard gain, before eventually giving up a long touchdown because you're punching at the ball instead of wrapping up?

making it to the superbowl was the worst thing for this franchise. all its done is set them back about three years!

^
That's due to idiotic NFL playoff policy, not the Master & Commander's actions.

maybe. he's a great coach, don't get me wrong, but seemingly quite an arrogant prick as well. This is a sport. . . what happened to sportsmanship?

off point. i think the guy is the best in the NFL, but he's still a prick!
