The NFL in the U.K?

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
I will only go to an NFL game if there are pub darts given to the first 1000 fans...But I shall leave this as a parting gift to our friends across the pond, I give you New England Patriots defensive player Brandon Meriweather's thoughts on an exhibition game played in the UK.

I guess they thought that it didn't count because it was in Toronto and it isn't really part of Canada, but whatever. Compared to our game, the only thing the NFL has that's superior are the stadiums (though that is a really big advantage...).

True enough but we aren't pussy's the way they are. We can handle roughing it way better. Though an upgrade would be nice.

Ive Always wondered why New Mexico doesn't have an NFL team? Sure there's college like the Lobo's & the Aggies, there's even baseball - the Isotopes, but no NFL team :dunno:
If they give a team to the UK, can it still be called National Football League?

Yeah, Co Stompe, Simon Whitlock, Jelle Klaasen etc are SO fat.

I did see a few people on the tube dressed up in all that silly NFL paraphernalia, trying to drum up interest in one of those little games a few months back. It has a small following.

I remember in the early 80s as a kid it was shown on Ch4 over here & there was a temporary craze for collecting small effigies of American Football helmets. Then we watched a game from beginning to end. . the fad soon passed.

I'd have to disagree with you sir. The 49ers and Broncos played at a sold out Wembley Stadium in October, hardly a small following I'd say.

Who knows? Maybe it would be like mixing the white clothes in with the colored in the wash. The results might not come out that good.

The one and only.
Brits, for the most part, don't give a fuck about our football. Why we try to force it on them is beyond me. The NFL has the largest television contract of all the four major sports in the United States. The league generates 8.5 billion in revenue each year. Is expansion into foreign markets really necessary?

They don't give a fuck about our football, much like we don't give a fuck about their football. It doesn't mean that one is better than the other, it just means that we have different likes and dislikes.

It's all about revenue. You can never have too much money.

they tried it before and it didnt work its just to boring and stop start and i know the broncos sold out wembley but that was a one off game and doesnt count

Like some others, I watched for a while when it was on C4 over here, but eventually got bored of it as it always seemed to be a couple of seconds of action followed by either adverts or some wise words from the studio.

shit, im an American and i dont really like football. bored the crap outa me. basketball is as boring, but i hate the game more because of the players as theyre all assholes.

i enjoy watching baseball, which is ironic because most people say its the most boring of the 3, but i disagree.
