My favorite all time cartoons are Ren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead

But I voted for Family Guy because it's on tv everyday and my favorite between the other choices.

I still like the Simpsons, and South Park has it's moments. Another cartoon I like is Superjail, which kind of cracks me up with all the death on it.

I get them all on some level. The Simpsons are really pure comedic genius cartoon or not and all the rest are....well, all the rest. Maybe some will get it when I say the Simpsons has something for everyone. If you're not sophisticated enough to keep up with the complexed funny shit, there is some simple funny shit for you. Family Guy is probably next best...

SouthPark...I've tried and tried and tried but it is just not as consistently funny to me for some reason. I'm not in the least bit ashamed to say I get it...but it just doesn't work for me. I think it's the stop animation and those goofy voices that doom it for me...whatever it's, I gave it an honest shot as I do many things and it just does't do it.:dunno:

family guy never has a plot they only have "durp" jokes
south park has gotten too preachy (first few seasons were great though)
simpsons have gone overboard (they should have stopped at season 9)
earlier koth and futurama i like (more thought involved, if you aren't thinking, what's the point?)
but who can go wrong with some classic looney toons? am i right?

The Simpsons. A month ago I would have voted for Family Guy, but they took it too far recently. South Park wouldn't make my top 5, let alone my top 3. So King of the Hill would be #3, American Dad #4, and Futurama #5.

Gotta go with Futurama, but also Metalocalypse. I'm too much of a metalhead to not like it, and sometimes it is just hilarious. But, both of them are light on the politics and/or being polite all the time. They're just funny, sometimes stupid, but always fun. Family Guy lost is luster after it became so popular that I couldn't go a single day without hearing about it, too much of a good thing is NOT a good thing.

Simpsons. Then Futurama, then King of the Hill & South Park. Venture Bros, Boondocks & Metalocalypse are great too. I <3 all these.

not a fan of family guy/ american dad. FG was OK for it's first 2 seasons, but I never got the hype. To me it's not even half as funny as simpsons or south park at their best.

Much as I adore the complete disregard of all sensibilities and utter anarchism of South Park, I picked The Simpsons. It's more wholesome, family entertainment that both adults and kids can enjoy and has more or less stood the test of time (despite going through a lengthy period of full-blown crapness for several years). The Treehouse of Horror episodes are particularly memorable.
