Well I am one of the few that voted "Other".
First of all, I'm a life long animation/cartoon 'kid at heart' fanatic. I have a large collection of cartoons on DVD in my library of films.
Second of all, I'd say The Transformers (1984-1987 original North American run), which is finally returning to DVD soon (thank you Shout! Factory), plus G.I. Joe (which is as well), and The Real Ghostbusters are my parennial favorites. Plus Voltron: Defender of the Universe (English language dub of the traditional Japanese super-sentai mecha robot shot King of Beasts: GoLion, which I also have uncensored on DVD as well) too. Gotta love it ("Form Blazing Sword!").
Also, the stuff Disney produced for syndication from the late '80s onward (Duck Tales, Tail Spin, Chip 'N Dales Rescure Rangers); C.O.P.S and M.A.S.K as well. Captain N: The Game Master and The Super Mario Bros Super Show animated segments (especially Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World episodes).
As far as comic adaptions go, I just got the complete Batman: The Animated Series again on DVD, and I find it vastly underrated. Loved and looked forward to it every afternoon from school durign the first half of the '90s for about almost a full three years in a row.
Also just ordered the first two volumes of X-Men (the '90s version from FOX Kids) and have been re-watching the episodes on Disney-XD. Very cool series that holds up and it's actually, I feel, a lot better at telling the stories of the characters then the rushed 35mm films. To each they're own.
Also the classics like Looney Tunes. Been buying up a lot of the box sets from a near by Super Wal-Mart as of late. The early years of The Simpson's were great, but for the last 6 or so seasons, I am sorry but it is just too sad for me. I never laugh as the series Jumped The Shark around Season 11 or 10.
