Oh,and listen to early Das EFX,full of stream of consciousness rhyming that doesn't really have any real meaning to it.For fuck sake,they pretty much started that shit!

Why wouldn't I have the gut to admit that I love Rage and I think Zach is fucking great.I've saw them live back in '93 when they first came out,so I've been a fan for a long time.Unfortunately it seems that his band mates (I don't know if they are current or former at this point) got tired of the constant militant rag(except for maybe Tom Morelo),and that's pretty much why they started doing music with Chris Cornell(notice that none of the songs have a militant theme,and maybe that's why they didn't use the original name they were going to use for the band.They were supposed to be called Civilian instead of Audioslave,but that reasoning is just speculation on my part,I'll admit.It probably had something to do with their contract).

I talk to everyone like I have listened to rap musics since '83,not '03 and had a group back in '92,when I was in high school and did local shows,all of which I did.So I don't consider my self just a casual fan of the genre,even though I really can't stand the commercialization of it now or most of the artist either.So sorry if i come off as a know it all.

Having a record deal is why pretty much all of the rap groups and solo artist of the 90's aren't around today,and if you had a clue you would've known that.

Me not having a record deal doesn't mean fail,ever heard of underground rap?Ever heard of guys selling CDs out of their trunk?That's how Master P did it.And have you ever heard of people doing it just out of love of the art and not just out to make money hand over fist?Get a fucking clue.

And on to other topics,i also forgot to mention Styles Of Beyond.Those guys are probably the best to come out of the west coast that I've heard of,along with Del,who I haven't heard anyone giving props to.

Emenim grew up a wealthy suburbanite who had a passion for rappin now he's claiming he all gangsta and shit!! he didn't grow up hard, except for the issues with moms, but thats my opinion, and I just feel he is fake..

Ok you kind of have a point on the gibberish, but IMO DAS EFX that was there gimmick, and Busta Rhymes, I must admit I didn't listen to leaders of the new school, I didn't care for them!!! however I do like Busta!! so again you have an argument, I just think IMO it depends how gibberish is used!! if that makes any sense but what does in the RAP / HIP HOP genre???

and despite your love for rage which I guess we both share, I was just saying if ZDLR spit over traditional rap and hip hop beats he would be in the top 5 of all-time with no doubt in my mind on that account!!! and when I said you had the guts, I was just asking you to imagine if he was a rapper, again I say he would be top 5 of all-time!!!! as far as rage the group, non-issue, I hated Audioslave!!! like the music, NOT a chrs cornell fan @ all!!

I haven't made any music in quite a while so what,and just to let you know,I wasn't in search of fame,fortune, and glory,so what's your excuse?What makes you think that you know everything?

My previous point is that a very large percentage of rappers in the 90's signed record contracts with labels that fronted them large sums of money that the artists were not able to pay back,even to this day.

Bad money management by these artists coupled with the fact that most of them had never seen the types of money that they were given only added to their downfall.If you give a 22 year old kid that's lived an impoverished life,a check for sums into the $100k's what the hell do you think is going to happen to that money?They are gonna blow it on all types of shit,and that's exactly what a majority of them did!

They were given the money to put into their tour,and to help promote album sales,but these artist went hog wild and just thought it was their money that they had earned and could spend it without consequence,and never worried about paying it back until it was too late.Like Q-Tip said "Industry rule number 4080,record company people are shady".

There are really only a hand full of artist,that can actually make money on actual CD sales.They only get a small percentage of profit for every unit that is sold,and that's why rappers were soooo very opposed to bootleggers selling their tapes,and who wouldn't be.They were cutting into their profits of unit sales that weren't very good to begin with.And now that has led to the crack down on internet p2p file sharing.

Now I'm not speaking on opinion,this is actual fact,and it's not just isolated to the rap genre of music.This is pretty much how all of the major record label operate and one of the reasons that there are so many artists today that try to start their own label instead of going to get pimped by one of the big boys.
