I'm ashamed to say that in the 25 years I've been on this planet I've only turned my ears towards 60's/70's music in the last year or so, but I'm loving a lot of material by Fleetwood Mac, Scorpians, and The Doors :)

Ah yes...my wheelhouse. Big names: Sabbath, Bowie, Kiss, ACDC, Alice Cooper, Kansas, Skynyrd, Floyd, Todd Rundgren. The list goes on and on. Sly, P-Funk, Dead, Thin Lizzy, Styx, Allman Brothers, Eagles. Ok. Must stop now.

all along the watchtower - bob dylan

"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they ***** my ****, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

That's it...with that I've now posted all of the songs on my playlist from the 60s and 70s, except for a couple that someone else posted before me. :)

Those that have not yet been mentioned:

Roy Orbison- he is THE MAN. The greatest voice ever recorded.

Bloodstone- oh boy, these guys are the musical equivalent of a bowl of sugar that is washed down with a glass of sugar. Sweetness all-around

Harry Nilsson- a great songwriter that does not receive the credit he deserves

Those that have been mentioned:

Cat Stevens- Mr. Islam is one of the better songwriters. His albums 'Tea for the Tillerman' and 'Teaser for the Firecat' are classics.

Janis Joplin- such raw vocals

Jefferson Airplane- they were way ahead of their time.

The song that I 'love to love':

Peter Sarstedt- 'Where Do You Go To My Lovely'- this sounds like it came from another era in another world from another being. Wes Anderson re-introduced it to the mainstream but it stayed an undiscovered gem for years.

The song that I ‘love to ****’:

Donovan- 'Hurdy Gurdy Man'- it is so bad that it is actually good. I love to **** everything Donovan.

I think Donovan is great singer, especially in Billion Dollar Babies.

Then why did you write it?

P.S I've read that a million times.
