Roy Orbison- he is THE MAN. The greatest voice ever recorded.

Bloodstone- oh boy, these guys are the musical equivalent of a bowl of sugar that is washed down with a glass of sugar. Sweetness all-around

Harry Nilsson- a great songwriter that does not receive the credit he deserves


Those that have been mentioned:

Cat Stevens- Mr. Islam is one of the better songwriters. His albums 'Tea for the Tillerman' and 'Teaser for the Firecat' are classics.

Janis Joplin- such raw vocals

Jefferson Airplane- they were way ahead of their time.


The song that I 'love to love':

Peter Sarstedt- 'Where Do You Go To My Lovely'- this sounds like it came from another era in another world from another being. Wes Anderson re-introduced it to the mainstream but it stayed an undiscovered gem for years.

The song that I ‘love to hate’:

Donovan- 'Hurdy Gurdy Man'- it is so bad that it is actually good. I love to hate everything Donovan.
