I have to say this was a great period overall for music. I mean Ac/Dc with rock and roll plus bagpipes was awesome! Carmine Apice one of the drummers for Rod Stewart also had a side band with a few other famous musicians. I learned to play drums in large part to him and his tutoring.

Also a lot of early progressive rock happening during this time. Unfortunately I do not see as much creativity in the music now and I am I guess a part of the younger generation being still under 30.

Yes sadly enough (for my times I guess) I owned that cd around the age of 15 or so. What can I say when my friends were listening to crap I was rocking out with the good stuff and Jazz.

Used to stay up late to listen to the Jazz and Blues radio show.

So lets change things up a bit shall we?

The Skatalites I last saw play in about 99 at a Jamaican music fest. I saw them at least twice and man for their age they still put on a show!
