Texas evacuations

so I guess everyone in the south is leaving because they are about to get pwned by hurricanes.

I say fuck them. We need to get tough on these free-loading interstate border jumpers. call the minutemen, call in the national guard, write your congressman. tell them that you don't want Texans coming to your state and taking your jobs.

I wonder if my ****** had to leave. He works on the Border Patrol on the southern border of Texas. Hmm...

You evidently don't know much about the situation since the overwhelming percentage of evacuees are heading to places elsewhere in Texas (our state is actually big enough to do that). Nice to know that, with fellow American citizens in genuine danger of losing property, life and limb, your main concern is that none of us come to your state and jeopardize your jobs. Thanks for the compassion.

As a Texan, I say fuck you right back. No self-respecting Texan wants to come to your fucking state anyway so don't worry about it.

I wasn't paying that much attention to the title of this thread, but when I glanced at it I thought it said "Texas executions". :1orglaugh

it was a joke, mostly directed at the rhetoric of people of the southwest that are opposed to (international) immigration and they can't understand why someone would feel the need to leave their home. Please refrain from giving me your political opinion on what the difference is. I really don't care, and I wasn't being serious.

I found your comment to be especially hilarious Jagger. Do you know what state I live in, or were you just proclaiming that no matter what it was, as long as I am there, no Texan would want to be?

But seriously, this is a thread about the Texas evacuations. I didn't see one so that's why I made this one.

Well, you need to be a little clearer about the fact it was a joke then. Didn't seem to dawn on many of us. Consider my remarks withdrawn.

And no, I don't know what state you live in and no I was not making any personal comment about you in particular. It's a Texas thing....you'd have to be from here to understand.

Peace....

I know that it's sometimes hard to distinguish, but usually with me if it sounds too stupid to be beleived, it probably is.

LOL....no harm, no foul. Sorry, I'm just a bit edgy right now with this thing bearing down on us.

Ok well this thing fucking sucked balls for all of us on the gulf coast of Texas but I finally got my power turned back on today (almost 2 weeks after the storm). I had a lot of damage to my house....roof is gone, water damage big-time in my house, lots of drywall is waterlogged and I lost my fence, trees, etc. Good news is it's all covered by insurance and no one got hurt so we were really lucky. We're better off than a lot of people in Galveston county and on the Bolivar peninsula....whole towns wiped off the face of the earth. Houston won't be the same for a long time. Check out this view of the Gulf Freeway (I-45) the day after the storm left.....nothing but serious huge debris like boats and I-beams and **** covering the entire road as far as the eye can see like some little *** dumped his whole toybox on the highway. Absolutely surreal....a glimpse of Armageddon for those of us who experienced the hurricane. Never want to go through this again....EVER!!!

Fucking scary as hell!!!!!

well ****. good thing you have insurance.

it's crazy how on the news you heard so much about the storm coming, but then you didn't hear anything else afterward. it's like, oh well, let's forget about all these people and move on to something else. But of course those people can't just change the channel to find a more interesting story, they have to deal with the situation and are still dealing with it.
