Suppertime! Suppertime! Hey Fellas, What'd You Have For Supper Tonight?

Went grocery shopping today. Grabbed a chicken breast, and marinaded it in Lowry's lemon pepper. Cooked it on the grill. Had leftover Green Giant broccoli and cheese, and a slice of 5-Cheese Texas Toast. Washed it down with a glass of Nobilo savignon blanc.

You pretty much grill all of your meals. Are you out there rain & shine, or a foot of snow? I never seemed to do well with outdoor cooking, much better with an oven, and range. You seem to eat pretty well, though you never seem to mention potatoes. I have got to have taters.

I do hamburger "with stuff" (e.g., taco seasoning). Steak on the grill primarily - or, will broil in the oven. Chicken on the grill - or, in the oven (McCormick lemon pepper .. salt?; or parmesean). Pork chops ONLY on the grill!! Hot dogs either on the grill, or in a pan with a pat of butter. I have grilled in bad weather. Open up the garage, and cook by the open doorway. I'll do baked potatoes occasionally at home with a steak; definitely out! Also Ore Ida frozen taters in the oven - usually with chicken strips (dipped in duck sauce). Love me some Five Guys fries, with a standard double-pattie hamburger! Or, a Wendy's Baconator. If the only dining option available, also at McDs. Also - fries at Chili's, with a full rack of baby back ribs. And, waffle fries at Chik Fil-A.

Tonight it was a BBQ Chicken Club Sandwich plus a 9 Piece Jalapeño Poppers from Carl's Jr along with a cold can of pop(Coke Zero) that I got outta the icebox. Serviceable, dependable, and consistent Supper-Supper-Suppertime-Supper.

Well, I guess I was wrong, you do like your taters. You sound like a good cook. I learned from my Sicilian mother. I love to cook, when I'm in the mood to cook....and when I'm not, they're just aren't enough drive thru's, close enough to the house.

I've been going to Big Tomy's on Pico & Sawtelle since I was in high school. The place burned down almost 4 years ago and us loyal customers were very sad. The burned down place just stood there for a long time and I was worried Big Tomy's would never return. It's been back for about a year now and if anything the Double Chili Cheeseburgers are even better. They put in all new equipment including a new charbroiler. The new Double Chili Cheeseburgers are Heaven on Earth and the ultimate comfort food. Got some of their good hot, salty fries to go with my burger.

Tonight I'll be having leftover Thai food from Tuesday night. Medium spiced pad thai with shrimp; hot and spicy massaman curry with chicken - over a bed of white rice, washed down a glass of Ecco Domani pinot grigio.

I'm not sure if I'll be having it tonight, but I just got a pot of chili going. It's not a huge pot, like I usually make, but it's a hearty one, I went light on the beans this time, and put in 1 lb. of ground beef, 1 lb. of venison, 1 lb. of Bob Evans breakfast sausage, and about a half pound of beef stew meat. I used a jar of Vlasik mild pepper rings, with juice, a 24 oz. can of Pabst, and all kinds of peppery goodness from the spice cupboard. If my calculations are correct, it should cause a nice toast belly, without burning your tongue.

Normally I'll dice up an onion, and a couple of jalapenos, and toss in a can of shrooms, but I was feeling lazy.

Well - tomorrow I'll be hitting a restaurant for lunch, before getting my second Moderna vaccine. A new diner that's opened, since COVID hit. I'll have a chicken salad on marble rye with swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato. I'll upcharge the chips to onion rings, and probably get a root beer to wash it down with. Ate there about two months ago, and it was very good.

The wife and I will be having pasta e fagioli. I just put it on the stove, be done in a couple of hours, and will be even better in a day or two.

Grillin'! Chicken breast marinated in teriyaki sauce; nuking some Uncle Ben's wild rice; and re-heating leftover broccoli. Having the last glass of my Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio, to wash it down with.
