I'm not much into sports as a spectator, but I've had this long-standing belief that the US could easily become a football powerhouse if it chose to. The population, facillities, and most importantly money are all there. In fact, I've long believed that the US could easily dominate any sport it chooses to, for the same reason... the only variable factor in the equation is "interest level," but even then if you throw enough money at the problem I'm sure you could find enough players to assemble a strong team for international events
that is bullshit, cause you don't have the history and the experience of so many sports. Football is one of the ancient sports in the world. they even played it in the middle ages.
while you all ignore other sports than basketball, american football, icehockey(cause there is also hockey and that is a different sport) and baseball. While you have famous athletes in other sports you just ignore them, how many of you know lance armstrong while he is one of the top. You only care for sports of "AMERICA" while there is so many more to see. Money isn't going to solve that problem and being a football powerhouse isn't about how you play football, it's how your team have played football the last 10-20 years and how many fans you have.
