He's been here a long time, posted a lot, gave useful advice and could be called a useful asset. You on the other hand, as others have pointed out, are here for a few days and a good part of your posts are complaints - withOUT any advice.

Nightfly was attacking ranger when ranger was offering helpful suggestions and identifying information. Nightfly attacked lightning for having 600 posts. This is the mannor which people are treated? How can that behavior be condoned by any rational person? What did they do wrong to deserve nightflys abuse?

I confess I'm a bit haphazard when it comes to selecting which threads to click on... call it impatience to get to titles that immediately catch my eye. In any event, I've only taken the time to read this thread now (although I did read lightning's opening post). I'd rather not comment on the bickering that's taken place of late, other than to say that I rarely engage in such tactless behaviour and, when I do, it's over something I can consider important. With all do respect to the players involved, I doubt internet fighting is worth your time and effort. I've had a few members commend me on my level headed approach to posting, but in truth their conclusions are incorrect. The real reason I rarely fight back is simply because I don't care enough to type out a response.

I must say I was intrigued by the idea of a "Hit List." My approach to spammers in the past has been to simply ignore them. I might fire a few salvos at the beginning, to amuse myself, but after that I ignore them. However, "Ranger" brought up an interesting point... that being that spammers can often achieve their goals merely by disrupting the normal traffic of a messageboard. Although I've not been around to see the "Britneyspammer's" wild posting in action, I've read many responses to it, and there's no doubt in my mind that he's succeeded on this level. If the Hit List provides a suitable deterrant as Ranger claims, and I believe it does, then it's well worth giving a try. If banning IP's, etc. really is a futile effort, and again I believe Ranger on this, then perhaps becoming a bit more proactive is in order.

You need to quit taking the sancitmonious, holier-than-thou approach. I was online the day that all the spamming happened and I have to concur (agree, in other words... just in case that was too big a word for you) with the rest of my buddies here at the FREEONES FORUM on the quickness and expediency of the spammers being banned.
Again, to echo what seems to be a common sentiment:
Rather than being so quick to point out the irrevelant flaws and natter on incessantly about insignificant crap, why don't you step up to the plate and make some USEFUL suggestions??? Sure, the day in question from the above referenced thread was frustrating, but the people in charge got the problem rectified in a timely, efficient, and most expedient manner.
You consistently post replies that seem to glorify and emphasize your holier-than-thou, cock-of-the-walk attitude. Were I to be in your shoes at this point, I would seriously make a bit more of an effort to be more community-oriented and less demenaing; at least a change in your overall attitude. All you are ultimately accomplishing is creating a very negative image of yourself and your views; alienating yourself from the very people who could have been friendly to you, as it were.
You honestly stir up too much crap and negativity to be a truly productive member of this board. You make divisive comments that, in my eyes, are provocative and meant to incite verbal warfare. You demean individuals whenever someone posts a conflicting or contradictory viewpoint (i.e, that means different... just in case either of those words were beyond your scope of comprehension).
I would just as soon that you leave the board with a whimper. Every time I see your name, I know that I'm going to be reading a vitiolic and caustic (shall I give you the definition???) attack on someone else's ideas, viewpoints, or suggestions.
