no. nobody deserves what happened RIP. 'they' simply wanna destroy our way of thinking ...

Let's completely ignore England, France, China, the Soviet Union, and oh the Ottoman Empire's past in the Middle East..................we'll just do the liberal thing and blame it all on the big bad U.S. because it's convenient.

Did U.S. foreign policy help contribute to the 9/11 attacks? did we bring it upon ourselves?

I think we should split this up.

Two very different questions, please don't mix those two.

I say:

Of course the USA contributed to the attacks. They are involving themselves to pretty much every country in the Middle East region. People will get mad, and it escalates.

But the second question...

That is very tricky, and I would not judge so easily. It leads to the (unspoken) question:

Are the USA to blame for the attacks? Are they directly guilty?

I don't believe this. But I guess we just have to take the word of officials for this.

You're a Holocaust denier. Which makes you a bigot. If you have kids, they must be so proud of daddy. I'm sure you believe 9/11 was just a grand Jewish conspiracy, hence why we "deserved" to be attacked, right?

If anything, we've done nothing but try to help people in the Middle East. Whenever they want help they call us. When we help one group, another group turns around and spits on and burns our flag. On 9/11, Palestinians (who demand our support to help them create their own state) were dancing in the streets as the WTC towers collapsed. Literally dancing as they watched TV with the towers burning right there on the screen. FACT.

We've done NOTHING to warrant the cold-blooded murders that Muslim fanatics have visited upon us for the last few decades. Since we all seem to like our little timelines, here's a BRIEF sampling for the last 30 years or so. ALL UNPROVOKED ATTACKS BY RELGIOUS ZEALOTS.

2010 - June 1, Little Rock, Arkansas: Abdulhakim Muhammed, a Muslim convert from Memphis, Tennessee, is charged with shooting two soldiers outside a military recruiting center. One is killed and the other is wounded. In a January 2010 letter to the judge hearing his case, Muhammed asked to change his plea from not guilty to guilty, claimed ties to al-Qaeda, and called the shooting a jihadi attack "to fight those who wage war on Islam and Muslims."
Dec. 25: A Nigerian man on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit attempted to ignite an explosive device hidden in his underwear. The explosive device that failed to detonate was a mixture of powder and liquid that did not alert security personnel in the airport. The alleged bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, told officials later that he was directed by the terrorist group Al Qaeda. The suspect was already on the government's watch list when he attempted the bombing; his father, a respected Nigerian banker, had told the U.S. government that he was worried about his son's increased extremism.
Oct. 29: two packages are found on separate cargo planes. Each package contains a bomb consisting of 300 to 400 grams (11-14 oz) of plastic explosives and a detonating mechanism. The bombs are discovered as a result of intelligence received from Saudi Arabia's security chief. The packages, bound from Yemen to the United States, are discovered at en route stop-overs, one in England and one in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

2000 - Oct. 12, Aden, Yemen: U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole heavily damaged when a small boat loaded with explosives blew up alongside it. 17 sailors killed. Linked to Osama bin Laden, or members of al-Qaeda terrorist network.

1998 - Aug. 7, Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: truck bombs exploded almost simultaneously near 2 U.S. embassies, killing 224 (213 in Kenya and 11 in Tanzania) and injuring about 4,500. 4 men connected with al-Qaeda 2 of whom had received training at al-Qaeda camps inside Afghanistan, were convicted of the killings in May 2001 and later sentenced to life in prison. A federal grand jury had indicted 22 men in connection with the attacks, including Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, who remained at large.

1996 - June 25, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: truck bomb exploded outside Khobar Towers military complex, killing 19 American servicemen and injuring hundreds of others. 13 Saudis and a Lebanese, all alleged members of Islamic militant group Hezbollah, were indicted on charges relating to the attack in June 2001.

1993 - Feb. 26, New York City: bomb exploded in basement garage of World Trade Center, killing 6 and injuring at least 1,040 others. In 1995, militant Islamist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others were convicted of conspiracy charges, and in 1998, Ramzi Yousef, believed to have been the mastermind, was convicted of the bombing. Al-Qaeda involvement is suspected.

1986 - April 2, Athens, Greece:A bomb exploded aboard TWA flight 840 en route from Rome to Athens, killing 4 Americans and injuring 9.
April 5, West Berlin, Germany: Libyans bombed a disco frequented by U.S. servicemen, killing 2 and injuring hundreds.

1985 - April 12, Madrid, Spain: Bombing at restaurant frequented by U.S. soldiers, killed 18 Spaniards and injured 82.
June 14, Beirut, Lebanon: TWA Flight 847 en route from Athens to Rome hijacked to Beirut by Hezbollah terrorists and held for 17 days. A U.S. Navy diver executed.
Oct. 7, Mediterranean Sea: gunmen attack Italian cruise ship, Achille Lauro. One U.S. tourist killed. Hijacking linked to Libya.
Dec. 18, Rome, Italy, and Vienna, Austria: airports in Rome and Vienna were bombed, killing 20 people, 5 of whom were Americans. Bombing linked to Libya.

1982–1991 - Lebanon: Thirty US and other Western hostages kidnapped in Lebanon by Hezbollah. Some were killed, some died in captivity, and some were eventually released. Terry Anderson was held for 2,454 days.

1979 - Nov. 4, Tehran, Iran: Iranian radical students seized the U.S. embassy, taking 66 hostages. 14 were later released. The remaining 52 were freed after 444 days on the day of President Reagan's inauguration.

You think that we deserved all this death and destruction because of some piddly political games? If these people want a REAL reason to hate us, we could easily give them one. There's NOTHING stopping us (the U.S. an Europe) from steamrolling that whole region of the world, driving out the population and annexing the oil fields for ourselves. The only reason we don't is because AMERICANS ARE THE FUCKING GOOD GUYS! Get it? We haven't even begun to visit hardship and suffering on these people, and they need to remember who it is they're messing with. If there's ever another attack on U.S. soil akin to 9/11, our response will be relentless and terrible.

Americans aren't the good guys. The fact that you feel the middle east hasn't suffered enough from US policies is evidence enough of that.

The Iraqis lost ~1 million civilians due to sanctions, ~1 million due to the 2003 Iraq war and about 4 million fled and became refugees. It takes a pretty disturbed mind to consider that 'not hardship'.

We've shot an amazing number of people and killed a number and, to my knowledge, none has proven to have been a real threat to the force

who needs suicide bombers when you've got a sophisticated military which enables you to kill people from far away?

More logical brilliance from you. Suicide Bombing is an act of extreme desperation. Suicide bombers have absolutely nothing better to do with their lives than to sacrifice themselves in an act of revenge against their oppressors. A suicide bomber is a poor motherfucker that doesnt have advanced fighter jets or laser guided bombs or nuclear weapons.

Why would Americans and Jews be suicide bombers when they posses the most advanced weaponry on the planet? No need to blow yourself up when you can call in an airstrike and kill 1000s of your enemy in one swoop.

The people who resort to suicide bombing have been backed into a corner by the people who have the highly advanced weapons. The only way these people can fight back is by blowing themselves up in the process, because that is their only means of fighting back.

The playing field is not level or equal, it is rocks against nukes. Try putting yourself in the shoes of someone whose land has been stolen, their livelihood taken from them, their family slaughtered in front of their eyes, their freedom ripped from them. Think about how much abuse and injustice it would take for you to get to the point where you would be willing to be a human bomb, just to get back at the mutherfuckers that took everything you had ever loved, and murdered it in front of your eyes.

You're a Holocaust denier.

If there was no Holocaust there would be no Israel. It was something that had to happen in order for the the state of Israel to be created. If a Holocaust didnt happen then it would have had to have been created.

Theodore Herzl is the founder of Zionism, here are some of his thoughts.

The term "Zionism" was first introduced in 1893 by Nathan Birmbaum, but Theodor Herzl, an Austrian Jew born to a prosperous, emancipated Budapest family, is recognized as the founder of the Zionist idealogy when he published his book in 1896, "The Jewish State", where he declared that the cure for anti-semitism was the establishment of a Jewish state. As he saw it, the best place to establish this state was in Palestine.

While Herzl claimed that the establishment of a "Jewish" state would cure anti-Semitism, he also promoted anti-Semitism to further his cause.

Herzl stated in his diary:

“It is essential that the sufferings of Jews.. . become worse. . . this will assist in realization of our plans. . .I have an excellent idea. . . I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. . . The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends”. (From his Diary, Part I, pp. 16)

Benny Morris (the Israeli Historian), described how Herzl foresaw how anti-Semitism could be "HARNESSED" for the realization of Zionism. He stated:

"Herzl regarded Zionism's triumph as inevitable, not only because life in Europe was ever more untenable for Jews, but also because it was in Europe's interests to rid the Jews and relieved of anti-Semitism: The European political establishment would eventually be persuaded to promote Zionism. Herzl recognized that anti-Semitism would be HARNESSED to his own--Zionist-purposes." (Righteous Victims, p. 21)

Hitler was played like a fiddle by the Powerful Jews in the world, without him there would be no Israel.

Just like without 9/11 there would be no Iraq and Afghanistan invasions, and no "war on muslims".

If only 100,000 Jews had died in the Holocaust from disease and allied bombing, it wouldnt have been enough for the creation of Israel to occur. It would have had to have been exagerated and made to look far more evil and grandiose than it was if the ultimate goal was the creation of Israel.

Regardless of what happened to Jews in Europe, why should people from Palestine who had absolutely nothing at all to do with the Holocaust have to suffer because of it?
