for whomever just pinged me with good reps, I thank you. :glugglug:

AEGEAN... I'll clarify what my rather cryptiic most was supposed to mean:

I was pointing out was that whomever wrote that message to me took offense at the fact that I said the following:

"... Hold up and be brave there, sport..."

It was in regards to some erroneous information that was given in regards to Sunny Leone's ethnicity. I corrected the poster, directed that person to the proper information, and that was that as far as I was concerned. Game over.
Apparently in someone's eyes, though, I committed a grievous sin because I was a "newbie" and had the utter effrontery to call a more senior member "sport" (as if this is tantamount to be called a 'dick')... and the fact that I had a large (not really... no larger than my current sig) signature. The person gave me negative rep points and made some sarcastic comments (see above post) in the message... yet... whomever it was didn't have the balls to leave their name.
I bear no ill will to this fellow.. whomever it might be. I think it's absolutely hilarious that someone would get so caught up in such an innoccuous comment.

lol

never mind!

If I understand you correctly...the answer is found simply by hitting "Profile" in white letters in the blue band across the top.

You will see "Reputation Points" and a list of the threads where you were given a rating. The color of the tiny square indicates postive - neutral (un impowered member - or negative (I suppose). It also gives you your total points.

I hope that helps. :angels:

got cha cheers fella!!

a)I have a question about rep points and rep power. I understand the thing about the green, red or grey stones.
My question is the following one : now I have 1 in reputation power. How can I have 2 in reputation power ? How grows up or goes down the reputation power ?

b)I discover the rep points system in another board, and it doesn't function the same way. There's no reputation power (if there is, it doesn't appear on the screen), but you can give reputation points like here.
In this other board, when you reach a level of reputation, they give you access to their archive (full of sets).
Here, I understand that it allows you to see who is a good or a bad member (if we can really say that there are bad member here, except the spam boy of these last days, I never read thread or post boring or stupid, so I think there are only great members on Freeone's board). Beside of that, reputation power or level of reputation points, have they another utility ?

Thanks in advance for your answers and explanations !

Thanks for your answer Famousbabes !
I have now an explanation for my question b).

But, have you an explanation for my question a), or maybe rep system is too recent and you don't know it yet ?
I know I'm too curious ! lol But, I think rep system gives a real interest to this board. I'm sure it will give us a supplementary motivation in order to make this board even and always better.

About part A. Your number next to the stone goes up with your over all rep points. Some members started with higher numbers. (I didn't set it up so I can't tell you why this was done.)

OK it's clear now ! thanks for your patience and your answers, that's very nice of you !

Ah, hem, I have a last question. Is there a scale, or something to explain when your reputation power grows up. I mean, per example, now I have 24 points and 1 in reputation power. But have you created a scale or something to say "ok, between 10 and 20 points, the member will have 1 in reputation power, between 21 and 40 points, he will have 2 in rep power (all these figures are just examples or supposition ) ?

I don't know the scale. After FO's staff gets more stuff done I plan on asking for a scale to post. (they might do it anytime though)

I have noticed that the more points or levels a person has, they give more points. Like if you give me good rep, i woulld only get 1 points i believe, but when Freeones gave me good rep, I got 10 points.

Thanks !

Do you know him personaly ? how did you do to become a moderator ?
OK, you know what : enough questions for today, I won't bother you anymore for today...

I think it depends of the content we post and what is our behaviour that is how we get points I think.
